Who's the Commander? Cause, not finding a GW Legendary?

And Marisi's Twinclaws can't be in the deck unless there's a GRW Legend at the helm.

I'd go with 4 x Mirran Crusader and move Reverberate to the side board, bring it when needed. or 2 x Crusader and 2 x Hero.

Also consider Leyline of Punishment [for sideboard at least]

Really good mana curve as is though!

Three of your cats, especially Raksha, benefit from 'equipment,' you have only the slow and expensive 'battlegear' [3 cost + 2 equip] in the deck.

I'd remove all Akroma for sure, too slow, in favor of any simple/cheap equipment, Sylvok lifestaff, for example. Doubles you odds of getting some.

Victory's Herald is a great touch, I have similar idea for her in a Knight deck.

Finally got my hands on Baneslayer, so now have 2 of them and 2 Serras.

Safe Passage is another good idea. Might replace Spell Pierce?

thanks

With any red deck, and considering the potential power of first round play of Quest for Pure Flame, I would put in 2 x Banefire

Since you are running Bramblewood Paragon, you should fit in more 'warriors' especially the lovely Wren's Run Vanquisher. At the cost of 1G you get a 3/3 death touch and if the Paragon is on board she is a 4/4. Since Nisa and Wellwisher give life, I'd drop Essence Warden for WRV. And if you use as land Oran-Rief, the Vastwood, WRV could easily enter as a 5/5.

Good point, and Cunning Sparkmage gives the creature/player option. Someone 'equipped' Basilisk Collar to CS and it worked very well.

Or, contemplating dropping the Pyromancer and adding Incinerate or Lava Spike for improved speed.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanx, as you can see I added one oracle and made a few other changes, particularly added Unsummon, replaced Winged Coatl with Slippery Boggle for speed, Selkie Hedge-Mmage with Wistful Selkie for card draw

With all the mana ramps you have as characters, both Rampant Growth and Search for Tomorrow seem overkill. I would replace either with 4 Deadly Recluse for 'deadly' early defense, and maybe the other with Acidic Slime for later specific removal.

But, this sure looks like fun and should sneak up on people. Very creative!

I really like the defensive side of this! Well thought out control, till you're ready to move. [You mention Asha's Favor in the write up, but it is not in the deck . . . oversite/sideboard perhaps?]

My wife is just getting into Magic, and she loves cats, and she found your deck. So, i bought it for her, full play set of all cards. She could not wait to try it as seen here. I managed to beat her first two games with a B/W life gain/drain Standard deck. [for now . . . .] She is now plotting, planning, dreaming even, of how to tweak it, for full effect. Thanks for really piquing her interest and getting me a fully involved opponent.
