Deck Description

the point of this deck is to mill yourself out and still win based off of the card laboratory maniac, which yes, i plan on making it indestructable/hexproof. Ive wanted to make this deck for a while, well now i am gunna make it(:

Deck discussion for SELF MILL! thts rite, mill yourself to win

I find when I played with two Mirror-Mad Phantasm in the deck, it sort of got rid of its full potential. That is why when you looked at mine, I didn't use more than one. I found you can get more out of it that way, though it does dampen your chances of getting it. But by the looks of it, you should be flying through your deck, and it hitting the graveyard, so him appearing in there for that 1U mana cost, is a lot better then waiting to draw him for his full 3UU.

Hey, I made a BR Vampire deck. (Sorta like an example of how I would make it). Can you give some pointers, or take a look at it?

Haha thank you! I have been playing for a few years now, since M10 came out. And Zendikar was making its way to us. I have recently gotten the skill of deck building, and I think I have shown it. Wait till you see the new deck I made, I can't upload it yet because I plan on using RtR cards in it... But it seems to run really well, and might be my best deck yet. ;)

mind sculpt would be perfect and it was the first card i went to, read the card though, it says target opponent, not target player

Oh yeah oops. Try Thought Scour. Mill 2 cards and draw another for 1

Sands of Delirium is also a useful mill card mid to late game

i like hedron crab and maybe evolving wilds or terramorphic expanse although you have a mono colored deck you get up to two lands onto the battllefield each turn which can be a early game mill for really cheap. also gives a decent defender.

I'd look for more "combo" stuff to mill, this seems just a touch too slow (most mill is). Look at the legacy self mill deck i made, there are 3 different self mill combos that will deplete your deck in one turn.

I've got a self-mill lab maniac deck that I posted on here a while ago but mine also has some other conditions built in because just self-milling yourself can backfire pretty easily.

Mind unbound + venser's journal is an awesome combo to keep yourself alive long enough and have a ridiculous draw power which will eat your deck up in no time. Coupled with Jace's erasure, you get to mill yourself an equivalent number of cards everytime you draw cards.

Geralf's Mindcrusher is also another decent defensive mill card if you can drop them out. It's a big body 5/5 that mills for 5 and has undying so its a nice 10 card mill if it happens to die.

This is my lab maniac deck, i've tweaked it since I posted it on here, but don't remember all of what I have done. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=296760

if you draw the rite cards, ive gotten a few turn 5 wins with this deck, and its not all that unlikely either because ive gotten different hands that were turn 5 wins, there are multiple ways for it to work out to

I would like to see if someone can get a mill yourself deck without any sets before innistrad. This deck has illegal cards since it is past October. Get a deck going with a card like Splinterfright and other cards like that but otherwise I like the deck.
