I think you could do without 3 Bloodchief's. I would run 4 thrumming instead as that card has more synergy with the rest of the deck, and you want to be able to play one every single game, and if you draw all four its amazing rather than 2 BC ascensions in hand blows.

Tighter. The mana base is still pretty low but you do have a VERY low curve. I liked the Vess, she is a pretty solid Planeswalker, even if no one really plays her. You have a lot of spells that target creatures and only a few creatures i can see you attacking with. I would sideboard some dispel's to thwart the old doomblade, or negate if your fearing o rings/DoJ. What about a specter? 3 mana for 2/2 flyer that causes discards isnt too bad. Hideous End FTW! ha ha ha
Oh and I would possibly drop the Archmage too.... its cool, but I think you will just spend too much time trying to proliferate it.... 6 counters is a fair amount.
Hey matey. I like the look of it. TBH though it feels like you have a duel focus. PLUS you are 8 cards over with only 20 lands! IKES!. I would drop the mire's toll (too few swamps) and perhaps the virulent swipe (if you want to infect, dedicate more to it). Also with the two 5 CMC enchantments, i think they are a little necessary as you will probably want to invest more mana into dropping discards and the like. Nice idea though, i do like it. :D
You could add energy chamber to speed up the reactor... not that you really need it!

Hey mate, dumb question really but any reason your not running tezzeret? too late game? cause turn 5 (or less!) fetch the last artifact you need for the combo is pretty mint. Great for those broken artifact lands too :D
Love the versatility! I do like the ultimatums... but Im not sure how playable they really are, nasty nasty if you get them out. But also Progenitus seems a bit overkill, unless you actually have the card. I would rather have the certainty of the blades plus charms. Nice idea tho!

Do you find the borderposts useful? To be honest i find them annoying as anything beyond turn 3, I would rather have a land. Although i do play with artifact lands. I find myself getting manna screwed too. Perhaps I should add more lands. Since we dont play standard I have Triskellion and inkwell, plus a guy who gives all artifacts affinity for artifacts. Isn't Outlander a bit more of a sideboard card? its much of a muchness really if you arent playing red. I would definitely drop pacifism for journey to nowhere, or obliv ring. Without Trasmutter I wouldn't bother getting big creatures in, sharding sphinx is always fun, and enigma, but too costly for aggro without transmuter. Looks pretty good! How does it play?
Yea need that guaranteed 2 life loss a turn, perhaps sign in blood if your desperate, creeping tar pit always handy. Saw one deck with Parasitic Strix, that would work. Splashing red would be more predictable damage. there are plenty of red cards that can deal that 2 damage
looks quite good. Have you thought of a way to enforce archive trap? i.e. make them search their library? Have you played this deck? What turn do you usually activate Ascension? I would add Creeping tar pit also, helps get that guaranteed 2 life loss. i like the strix/sign in blood/hideous end twist. More guaranteed than creature damage. nice

I like it! Gives a fresh face to mill. Its sick to think a 0 cost Archive Trap can deal 26 damage! I know its a great card, but is haunting echoes necessary? Is that just in case bloodchief doesn't succeed? You could do with a few more ways to secure that 2 damage a turn. Even an underrated pulse tracker, or underworld dreams (turn 3 does kinda suck tho) Just a few ideas. i really like the concept!
I havent seen the sphinx summoner in action, but coupled with Master Transmuter I imagine its a wonderfully pesky card. I like using Sharding Sphinx and Enigma sphinx but Sphinx of the steel wind is definitely a keeper if you already have the card! I havent tried it yet but how about using Hindering light over countersquall? I find myself holding onto the squalls far too late in the game, because its non-creature and never seems timely! Scourglass also seems a very nasty nasty card. Have you thought about adding lodestones to slow the opponent a little? I use two and find them perfectly infuriating!

Have you thought about swapping the borderposts for Obelisk of Espers? They do the same as the two different posts combined, it just doesnt have to tap. Also are you using journey to nowhere because you cant get any Path to exiles? Plus do you own glacial fortress and the catacomb? They are pretty costly lands. Just if your on a budget...
