Deck Description

Pauper Izzet deck . Attempting to alpha strike your opponent with the Dragonauts or the Cyclops. You have ways to pump them, fetch them, protect them, and make them unblockable.

How to Play

Play out one or two of your creatures and attack. Do not over extend early as you only have eleven creatures. Have countermagic in hand when attacking if playing blue, or expecting elimination . Remember Piracy Charm can make the opponent discard - clutch move if he has only one card in hand . Drift of Phantasms can be used to stall or fetch a Wee Dragonauts/Cyclops as needed. I built this deck back when Ravnica first came out to take advantage of the Dragonauts and Psychotic Fury, and updated it with all the current Izzet cards around. There are many similiar decks on MTG VAULT which are based around the same basic idea. The deck can be made much stronger if you do not care about the Pauper status. Anyway it is a fun aggro deck to play.

Deck discussion for Big Wee - Izzet Pauper

Why not kiln fiend?
Psychotic fury is awesome dude, I've never heard of it until now!!
Personally I would drop the defender, the split card and Gigadrowse to add brainstorm/ponder/preordain/gush and kiln fiend.
Wanna know what? I'm gonna make my own combo izzet and post here ;D

Kilm Fiend works but doe not have the Izzet feel, and the defender is used to transmute for the kill creatures but your suggestions are good

I would definitely make room for Kiln Fiend in this deck. I feel like its just an elite threat in this sort of shell. Also, you'll probably want to pick up Swiftwater Cliffs, as running a strictly-basics manabase can lead to some awkward hands. Some cantrips (Preordain, etc) would help you find your combo pieces as well

Thanks for your suggestions. I will probably make some of your change suggestions if I dust off this deck to play, -it hasn't seen the light of day in 4 years - as very few people in my meta play pauper anymore. A real shame as pauper gives a real old time kitchen table feel to the game. I mainly play EDH and Pauper EDH at present.
