Try faith's shield as a good noncreature spell to help your humans survive :) and as someone said above, elite inquisitor is just great, I would put him in before the cycle. 2/2 first strike and vigilance for two is already amazing, but throw in protection from vampires and zombies and you have a great card to use against two of the best tribal decks in standard! And protection from werewolves can mess with rg aggro because the Almighty Huntmaster of the Fells is a werewolf. It's just an all around great card for standard right now, and I would at least throw 3-4 in the sideboard ASAP. :) If you feel like it, I'd appreciate commentary on my current deck :) http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=367517

Increasing savagery for sure! Throw even more counters on your hydra, and they just keep doubling. Flashback it and you can get soooooooo far. I couldn't think of a better creature to use that card on. I love hydras, this is a really cool deck. I hope this helped :) If you're interested in standard at all, please check out my aggro deck :) http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=367517
Use evolving wilds so you get rid of two lands at once, and have less of a chance of running into them with primal surge
Not only would I use fog, but I'd use fog bank, sleep, and clinging mists, but especially the mists. Decks like this can take a while, and one or two fogs per game isn't long enough. However, I love the concept, and the title xD
Flayer of the hatebound! Think about it: fling griselbrand, 7 damage. Then resurrect him somehow, even with undying evil or rise from the grave, do 7 damage from flayer, but because griselbrand did the damage, you gain 7 life due to his lifelink. Then you draw 7 cards, and win the game.
Then do furor of the bitten. I mean, I run aggro, and I can win by only attacking a few times if I side in burn. Decks with white can easily exile the dragon, and delver decks can bounce him back to your hand and remove the counters. There's lots of ways around the dragon, if you want to make it playable, this deck is gonna have to be very responsive and have lots of comebacks. You already have enchantment removal for oblivion ring, but I think You need a deadly recluse to take care of delver decks. Honestly, I pictured the dragon in a red and black deck. Blood reckoning and the dragon would make nobody want to attack, and shimian specter can get rid of any card you're afraid of before it hits the field. If this doesn't work out, you should try that. :)
Thank you :D and any time, if you have any other standard decks you want me to look at, let me know. I don't do too well with legacy...haha
Thanks, I'll definitely consider that. :)
Yes it will, it makes human soldiers, so you'll get 3 creatures and your champion gets+ 3/+3
Definitely get 4 elite inquisitor. A two drop with first strike and vigilance is good by itself, but the protection from vampires and zombies shuts down two of the best tribal decks, and protection from werewolves is very effective against arguably the best standard deck, rg aggro. Huntmaster of the fells, a werewolf, is a huge card in those decks, and running an inquisitor can really change the game against him. I should know, I run 4 huntmaster xD Also, add some captain's call and attended knight if you want to get a lot of use out of champion of the parish. Please check out my deck if you have the time, I'm putting a lot of thought and money into it, and I'd really appreciate any feedback. :) http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=367517
Birds will very likely be reprinted in return to ravnica. :) as for the rest of the deck, try furor of the bitten and curse of the nightly hunt to make enemies attack and put counters on the dragon. Also, you have a lot of aggressive cards, but if you want enemies to attack you and pump the dragon, you need defenders. Wolfir avenger is a nice flash blocker with regenerate, I would add 4 of them. If you have the desire or the time, please check out my aggro deck :) http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=367517
It's especially brutal when you soulbind a champion to a silverheart, and unless your opponent has a 6/6, they're screwed >:) any suggestions though?
Another good card would be sheltering word. Giving the ooze hexproof would make it immune to almost anything. :)
Definitely get ulvenwald tracker and prey upon and drop the young wolves. They are a nice one drop, but you already have bond beetle and arbor elf for that. You want people to get killed by the ooze, another attacker/ blocker is just gonna give them other options. You also definitely should side cards like naturalize and other enchantment removal. As soon as people see the word indestructible, they're probably gonna side in oblivion rings or other exile stuff, so you need to get rid of those in white decks. Love the ooze, and love the deck. :) check my aggro deck out if you want to/have time. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=367517
Gotta love good ol' stompy decks. Primordial hydra might do nicely in here. Potentially starting off really early and being really good in late game just makes for a really fun card. :)
If the flicker is too slow you could always add roaring primadox to return stuff to your hand
The burn makes it more versatile. I've faced control decks that make the combat phase pointless, and the burn is my way around that. However, I think I'll move some of it to the sideboard for champion of lambholt... Soulbound to a silverheart, the token deck is now obselete :P thanks for commenting :)
No huntmaster? he's a human, and he does a lot. Especially when he pumps champion of lambholt whenever he transforms and gets a wolf
Here's mine, of you're interested. :) I think it may need more mana ramp...lol http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=367517
Why No kessig wolf run? You have the ramp for it, there isn't much need for all the mana otherwise, and it could help a lot. Also, brimstone volley is good for when zeniths cycles out. :)
