Yeah good point... If he becomes too unreliable ill switch him out for nivmagus elemental.or something

3 niv mizzet is too many... 2 should be your max. Also, you can almost definitely go down to 22 lands. goblin electromancer may be a good idea, considering he adds to all of the x mana costs. Yeah, in a deck with so many expensive cards, electromancer would help a lot. :)
I think you have too many chandra...I would drop two of them for two talrand :)
I like think twice for draw power, and it can trigger guttersnipe twice. But I do like the dissipate suggestion, and I will replace talrands invocation for those, and will drop the essence scatters. Its already done irl, ill change it here when I get a final deck list. Thanks :)
Do you think something like pursuit of flight or spectral flight would be good enough to protect some of my creatures from pillars?
I think you have too many creatures... Id drop the vexing devils, cut down to 2 talrand, and pick either augur or guttersnipe. Either way you dont use enough instants or sorceries for snipe and talrand to excel... And unsummon would probably be better than silent departure. And mizzium mortars would help too :)
Im not a fan of blistercoil weird...have you considered goblin electromancer? Turning searing spears into lighnting bolts is nice :-P cool deck, thanks for checking out mine
No I never play worldfire if I draw it, its just to fetch with jaces ultimate. I get worldfire from my deck and any damage sourcefrom the other deck
Awesome deck! Id take out a Niv or two and at least one hypersonic dragon to add more electromancers and/or guttersnipe. also, counterflux hasnt really impressed me so far... If it doesn't work too well for you either, blustersquall is a very versatile and effective control card :-) good luck at fnm!
Maybe think twice? The second use is nice.
Thanks I think... Although it was my idea, I made it before I saw yours, and before you even asked that question way back when the core set came out. It is possible for more than one person to get the same idea yknow.
Worldfire is really only in,there for if I get jaces ultimate and immediately win. I usually discard it with nivix or izzet charm if I draw it
No problem. Heres my izzet deck if youre interested http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=390691
Devils play maybe? Goblin electromancers make it easily effective
To solve the issue of ramping up, I suggest goblin electromancer. Early game, he allows you to play everything sooner. Late game, he lets you play more of everything to make guttersnipe fire off a lot more shots and to make talrands army grow. Not to mention a 2/2 for 2 is right on the curve and can be a decent blocker early game. As for dealing with larger creatures, blustersquall might be just enough to let you get in the final damage. If you cast it on your opponents turn and you have any creatures, the odds are in your favor. :) I hope that I helped. If I did, feel free to return the favor! http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=390691
This may seem like a randomchange to make, but id switch out fog for terrifying presence. You could do a few interesting combat tricks to help get some stuff in your graveyard or to help your jarad survive, yet still kill
Counterflux hasnt impressed me so far, id run syncopate instead. And with staticasters you dont really need electrickery...youd be much better off with blustersquall imo. :) as for a bomb, have you ever considered charmbreaker devils? Not only is the fetch ability beyond usefull, but if you blustersquall their field and then attack its 8 damage to the face, and in instant heavy decks like this he gets HUGE really fast. :)
Very cool deck! I agree that mizzium mortars is a good call. Also blustersquall and dynacharge. pass your turn and at the end of their turn tap down all their creatures, then thatcher revolt and dynacharge on your turn is another alternate win condition :) I run the same combo in my izzet deck ( http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=390691 ) and it works wonders. Good luck at fnm!
Try curse of bloodletting out. Not sure if you want to make your true enemies bleed, but it works nicely in the game. >:)
Heres my Izzet deck. Its kinda controlly, but combat damage is the main win condition. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=390691
