I was playing Red in Standard so I thought I'd make a more "advanced" version for Modern. Then it evolved into this.
Play Mountains. Turn them sideways. Win.

If you want some sideboard help, what about Slagstorm or even better Bonfire of the Damned against white weenie. It ruins their tempo much more than yours and clears all those pesky 2/2 first strikers who make life of your Ball Lightnings so difficult.Nice deck all around.PS: Keldon Marauders dont like Torpor Orb in your sideboard :-)
okay, replace flames with skullcrack, it costs less does one less damage and still makes it so you're opponent can't gain life. also, i'd suggest grim lavamancer being that a lot of the cards creatures included are basically burn spells being you have to sac them at eot with that said lavamancer may be a good sideboard or mainboard choice in case you go against tarmo. secondly I'm not sure what i'd do for your sideboard you have the ensnaring bridges which takes care of a lot of things such as emracruel, and zoo for the most part (kind of an iffy match for this deck) but if you can play your hand fast enough you can still stop their deck, i'd also run valakut strictly because it gets that last bit of damage you need through and can be quite useful and save you. but anyway back to your SB blood moon takes care of valakut as well as tron so that's handled, torpor orb takes care of melira and basically every pod deck for that matter. the hardest matchup I foresee for this deck is against white weenies martyr of sands etc. so that's why I suggest the leylines. otherwise you're pretty well set.
Awesome, cheers man! I've been toying with the Lavamancer for ages now, only reason I haven't tried them is that I simply don't own any at the moment, I'll have to get my trade on! ;)
how about vexing devil?
Don't own any! :(
Deathtyrant5000 said most of what I was going to and LoLoPro finihed the rest of what I was going to say.You can also try a few Brimstone Volley. With your creatures killing themselves, Morbid should easily be available.
I like Brimstone Volley, I run it standard but everybody laughed when I suggested it for modern... :S
it's still a good card but there's better cards for burn, but brimstone volley if it didn't cost 3 it would definitely be worth it.
fling the sacrifices for some more easy damage
What would you sacrifice as fling's additional cost though? Guide is the only static creature...EDIT: OIC, sacrifice before they die, nice!
I like, fling your Ball Lightning! Now that would be sweet.
Saw your deck and though i would take a try at modern burn, check it out :)http://www.mtgvault.com/mdiakne/decks/rdw-modern/
No guttersnipe?
No need for it.
Why would you not have Vexxing Devil's? (4 of them)
Don't own any! :( But yeah, would be awesome here.
oh. :) Ya there like $9.50 now.
Yeah, I traded away four earlier in the year, sucks to be me! :P
:( ya man. Sorry that happened. I traded away 4 sacred foundry's within the past week and they went up in price just a few days ago. :(
I'm currently trying to build a deck using miracle burn and noxious revival. Can I get an overhaul from someone experienced with burn?http://www.mtgvault.com/wickeddarkman/decks/wdms-modern-burn-prototype/
Many lists I see in Modern do not run any Magma Jet. I assume this is because they have fetchlands to account for the pseudo-card advantage of topdecking good things - which is the lifeblood of RDW. Is that your reasoning for Magma Jet?I concede that fetch lands are ungodly pricey.
At the time, yes. I built this with cards I had available to me at the time. I should probably add the new version of this deck that I'm running now, I've largely switched to burn now! :)
