In the best situation you want to play Ensoul Artifact on a Darksteel Citadel. However, you it wouldn't be too bad to play it on an Ornithopter or any other Artifact. I also put some counters in, just in case someone tries to destroy/exile an artifact enchanted with Ensoul Artifact.
-- Possible Turn 4 Win Hand/ Scenario --Starting Hand Requires:1x Ornithopter1x Darksteel Citadel2x Ensoul Artifact2x Island The last card can be anything (Preferably a counter spell incase game is drawn out)Turn 1:Play Darksteel Citadel or Island.Cast Ornithopter for zero and pass.Turn 2:Play Island or Darksteel Citadel (whatever wasn't played Turn 1).Tap both mana sources to enchant Ornithopter with Ensoul Artifact.Swing for 5 damage and pass.Turn 3:Play an Island. Tap both islands to enchant Darksteel Citadel with Ensoul Artifact.Attack with both Ornithopter and Darksteel Citadel for 10 damage. (5 health remains.)Turn 4:Swing with both Darksteel Citadel and Ornithopter.(The genius behind this is you have two 5/5 creatures, one has flying, and the other indestructible. The chances of most decks casting a creature...1.) at all 2.) large enough to survive3.) with reach or flying ... by turn 4 is highly unlikely and you will most likely swing lethal.)More Turns:If, however, they do draw the game out you have had 4+ draws already, and since the deck is composed of many counters, you'll probably have a stacked hand. Any creatures they played to defend your lethal swing by turn 4 should be dead and you'll pull out with a win most likely soon.If you don't pull the highly situational, majestic, turn 4 winning, hand of awesome:-You have plenty of counters to last a long game (for control decks).-You will usually only have to mully twice (at most) to ensure at least one 5/5 creature by turn 2 (so you'll have a sturdy defense for aggro decks), and you can use them for a quick game (for control decks aswell).-Also note, the lands Tomb of the Spirit dragon and Radiant Fountain, can be used for some useful health (which I was able to use one game to get well over 90 health) incase you need a cushion while waiting to pull an ensoul artifact.Noteworthy sideboards:-Voyage's End: comes in handy when playing creature based decks (especially those that play small creatures fast) and allows a useful scry for getting through deck faster. Usually replaces disdainful stroke.-Negate: Necessary when playing control decks with very little creatures. If there are lower costing spells in the opponent's deck, replace Disdainful Stroke. If they have many spells with a casting cost of 4 or greater, replace Dissipate.-Stubborn Denial: A great alternative for Negate, but I would sideboard these in with a couple of Negates because it is possible for them to pay an extra mana. However, many times it's ferocious will trigger because of the Ensoul Artifact creature you'll probably have.

very cool, I really like the deck and looks fast. I top 8 twice at my FNM with a U/R artifact deck this last month by the same concept, but I would ramp out a doom engine with generator servant, then shrapnel blast the doom engine for the win basically

yea i used to use doom engine but i realized there was really no point in this deck cuz i needed to keep mana open for counters otherwise my 5/5 usually is gone
yeah, i think if you use doom, you need to build around it i think
Yea thats probably true but unfortuanately i built more around the ensoul
