A mid-range Golgari deck that is good for all formats except Modern (Deathrite Shamans). It uses the effective black removal spells (Hero's Downfall, Putrefy, etc.) while using effective creatues that become more powerful by capitalizing on Corpsejack Menaces ability and other counter cards like Bow of Nylea, Forced Adaptation, etc.
You want to keep the opponent from being able to develop quickly by constantly removing his creature cards while ,at the same time, playing creatures of your own that utilize +1/+1 counters to grow. In essence, what could start as a 1/2 Deadly Recluse on turn 2, could grow into a 9/10 deadly in as little as four turns by using Forced Adaptation and Corpsejack Menace. You can also develop creatures to sacrifice using Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. For example, with Corpsejack Menace, you can create a 24/24 Heroes' Bane within one activation of it's ability (enters the battle field with eight +1/+1 Counters instead of four, then use it's ability to get sixteen more counters) and then sacrifice it using Jarad to deal 24 damage to an opponent to destroy him. So this deck is both aggressive and defensive by destroying his creatures and growing your own.
