So, this is a fairly standard UWR control deck, with a couple of minor alterations based on my particular playstyle. As you can see, the typical control set up with supreme verdict, azorius charm, dissolve, sphinx's rev, and so on. The american bit comes in with warleader's helix, turn // burn, and anger of the gods.I really like Assemble the Legion. It simply has so much utility. I can keeping sacrificing the creatures to Desecration Demon, thus saving myself any removal spells, or I can eventually overwhelm even Blood Baron (I've done that before. It's funny). That, and Counterflux. Many people prefer Syncopate, but I simply do not because Counterflux is a flat counter spell with which you do not need to tap out later in the game to handle something that the opponent is throwing at you. Hell, even if I didn't play red, I'd just take Cancel over Syncopate. Not to mention, Counterflux gives red an incredible advantage in the control match-up. Oh, and Wild Ricochet in the side board. So far, I have cast that spell on boros charms, abrupt decay's, warleader's helix's, and even sphinx's revelation. It is incredible useful and extremely entertaining when my opponent gets that look that says "WHO DA F**K PLAYS THIS CARD?!??"
Control the board! Avoid countering creature spells unless absolutely necessary, since you have a crap ton of regular creature removal.
