Deck discussion for Felidar Life Gainer - comment plz

this is focused way too hard on gaining life instead of defending what you have in my opinion atleast.

Ajani pridemate? Ajani mantra? Wall of Glare + Pentarch Ward (to block most damage)? and even maybe a goldenglow moth

True i agree with Hazzard0us and Kessler because you need some stalling cards or defensive cards like Wall of omens, it's a 0/4 and lets you draw a card so you can stall another 1 or 2 turns and drawing a card. And you might need to consider BS angel for late game and Offense(or maybe defense). It's pretty dam good for life gaining and IMO one of the best 5 drops in standard.

Thanks all for the comments. I think the point of the deck may have been missed. It's literally heal like a freak, pull out a felidar, silence or mitigate all damage and hopefully your felidar is still standing and you win the game the upkeep after he came out.

you are not going to win that way, almost ever a good aggro deck will sit there and easily out dps the healing, a good control deck will just sit there and counterspell the felidar, or use a card like unsummon.

the point of the deck isnt missed, the problem is you cannot obtain that point. ill make a deck that can reliably meat the health requirement while staying alive tell then and you may understand easier.

Hypothesizing about an available counterspell is nice and all versus a control deck, but you could use the same logic against any deck and choose an ideal situation for the opposing deck. I understand your point, but that is but one possible opponent deck ... I appreciate the thoughts, but any suggestions to go along with the theme would be appreciated more ;)

the counterspell was one of many possible answers i could give you, one thing is true about lifegain decks vs control decks, they have one of the highest probability of a tie game out of any deck vs deck combo.

as far as suggestions about the theme goes just take a look at the deck i made
