Since this is not modern anymore:With Scapeshift 1 should be enough and you have Crucible of Worlds to revive it if necessary. You might replace one Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth with a Glacial Chasm. Simply don't pay the upkeep, sacrifice it, get a 5/3 token from Titania, attack, revive Glacial Chasm with Crucible of Worlds, put a +1/+1 counter on your plant tokens, be invincible during your opponents turn. Of course you have to get rid of your opponents Deathrite Shaman first.Rampaging Baloths is less costly alternative for Avenger of Zendikar.option options options... :-) I have been working on something similar and ended up with 2 versions a Golgari and a Simic one. Can't decide which one is better and worse, both versions have too many options. I need a possibility to play test decks online without actually owning the cards (I always start with proxies and buy cards once I'm happy with the deck). Is there such a thing?
Instead of Echoing Decay you could use Sudden Spoiling. Attack with your lands, your opponent most likely needs some to block, as well as other creatures, you kill them and keep yours. Add Beastmaster Ascension and you win.
Yes multiplayer MTG is a totally different game. You should try it, it's so much fun. Rush/burn/counter/mill strategies normally do not work. You simply can't have enough burn/counter/mill spells in your deck to finish/control 5 opponents. After your attacks your wide open for attacks from up to 5 players so you need blockers otherwise your done pretty fast. This means you have to build your decks to last (games end very rarely end at or before round 10). Imho this is why resiliency and cards that affect all players/opponents at once are the most important things in this meta. This is also why I prefer Mutilate/Black Sun's over Damnation any day. Both can get rid of indestructible creatures as well as creatures with regenerate.
Thank you very much for your feedback!- Booth Mortician Beetle and Blood Artist are not resilient enough. I had the beetle in at one point but there are simply too many board wipes in multiplayer games and I'm doing enough damage with Bloodchief Ascension and Exsanguinate.- I can't see the value of Tragic Slip in this deck. There is already enough creature removal in this deck. Beside Grave Pact, Mutilate and Black Sun's Zenith do a wonderful job and I don't mind a board wipe, my own creatures are back in the field soon enough.- Thanks for hinting at Hero's Downfall and Surgical Extraction.- Imho targeted discards don't provide enough value in multiplayer games. I prefer cards like Cunning Lethemancer, Necrogen Mists, Unnerve, Mindslicer or Gibbering Descent.I did give you some feedback to your casual deck. I'm afraid I can't offer you anything valuable for your tourney deck it seems good as is. The only criticism that went trough my head is the heavy use of non-basic lands. Cards like Blood Moon could hurt you badly but then you have counterspells and Revoke Existence. So good job and good luck.
Have you considered replacing Oracle of Mul Daya with Veteran Explorer and Harrow with Scapeshift. If things go perfectly you can play Massacre Wurm on trun 3. Since your plan is to destroy your opponents lands anyway Veteran's drawback that you opponent gets lands too can be seen as a advantage since its getting less likely that he draws a land afterwards. Further Scapeshift can get you any lands not just basics.- Scute Mob could be more powerful in this deck than Tarmogoyf- Avenger of Zendikar would be powerful in this deck and can offer an additional way to win.- Maybe a Boseiju, Who Shelters All for the sideboard.
This deck really fascinates me. I normally don't copy decks and try to come up with my own stuff. Nearly every time I browse cards (while building or modifying a deck) I find plenty of interesting cards worth building a deck around. This is why I so love MTG. Of course most of the time somebody else had a similar or the idea already but still I consider them my own decks. In this case I'd like to ask you permission to copy your deck, play it and later modify it? I would probably mix in some blue as blue has the better counters and draw spells. My group plays Vintage so I'm allowed to bring other cards in as well.BTW happy new year and all the best for 2015
Nice deck, great synergies. Not fun to play against tough and imho Magic should always be fun for all players involved. What good is a deck nobody wants to play against? Something I had to learn myself and the reason I disassembled or at least weakened some of my decks.
love it, great synergies.
have you considered mass creature removal e.g. Wrath of God or something similar? I thing you're going to have a hard time against fast token decks.
