Fast Discard

it works pretty well how it is it's one of my best decks and it's pretty fast

If you have better ideas for this deck though I'm willing to evaluate it and see if it will help and change the deck in a way that i like i checked out your discard and thought it was amazing and funny strategy wise because only people with discard decks know how everyone else hates them and find it amusing

Let me know if any of my suggestions are bad and why so I can see it in a different way maybe but your deck title is discard but I'm not seeing how its a viable discard deck it seems very slow and certain cards look like your trying to throw a lot of ideas into one deck like the elixers for example and if your meta is very creature based and that's why you have multiple creature removal look into mutilate instead of running so many single target removal. Personally I like nyxathid over megrim as well I think it fits your deck a little better. I would also remove your necromancy cards they just don't seem to fit. Hope this helps

Ok so the elixirs are exchangeable i have them in there mainly because mill decks seem to be popular among a lot of players lately and for the creature removal is because my creatures do a lot of the removal so i need to prevent blockers and taking a lot of damage from creatures they are able to play but with mutilate it kills my creatures as well. Megrim works with this deck because it's fast and works well with multiple megrims with multiple discard abilities. nyxathid is a good addition i've thought about it and i think i might add it in replace with disentomb because i also don't think i need it.

also the destroy creatures is to wait till vebuild is beefed up then wipe the opponents side and get a good hit in with vebuild

Its not focused enough for my tastes but if it works against the people you play success is hard to argue against :P

yeah but i would like to feel more confident going up against any deck i'm faced with so if you have any other suggestions let me know i added nyxathid and switched a few other cards what do you think?

This is just what I would do for my metagame so all or some of this may not concern you but I would conpletely remove the black knights, murders doom blade and hideous ends. Remove all your sorceries and add 4 wrench mind replace the 3 megrims with 3 more nyxathids. And remove the creature and land enchantments for faster discard cards so it was a little more consistent. Because how I see it is discard is meant to be fast if you are forcing discard fast and early they shouldn't be getting a lot of creatures out for you to have to use creature removal. Let me know if you don't agree with any or all of my suggestions so I can see it from a different point of view

I was looking at a card called harrowing harvest so i can make my opponent draw cards and lose life then i make them discard those cards and also a card called essence harvest so my vebuild sits there and beefs up and i use it to gain life and make my opponent lose life

Yes if you plan to refill the opponents hand then cards like Lillian caress and megrim are viable but in a strictly discard deck they are imho just to slow

Liliana's caress is good it's the same as megrim but cheaper

Haha yeah but they really only get good if you refill your opponents hand take a look at my discard deck if you have time and any suggestions would be great its for multiplayer.

I agree with everything except 2 of your comments it doesn't seem like the lilianas caress comment matters and if you run blackmail they won't shoe you the best card that's why I first chain of smog them with my deck then blackmail them if I have a dark ritual

Okay, I agree with Blackmail not getting you their best card. But it does give you extra discard cards in the deck and it is another card that provides damage through Caress. And yes, Chain of Smog or Hymn to Tourach are nice cards to consider in this deck too, Fuego.

I would say it looks way more consistent good job would consider taking the contaminated grounds out for maybe like a ravenous rat or abyssal spectre since you seem to like creature discard
But overall looks good

Looking good, Fuego. It has better discard creatures. And it has more discard spells. I know you run against people who play a lot of creatures. But buy and play these new cards, and I think you will see your opponents will have much more trouble getting the chance to play as many creatures. Keep us updated.

All the changes make your deck better! Make sure you buy one of the cheap and new Hypnotic Specters. Not the Beta cards.

I believe, but I am not expert, I think the weakest card in your deck is Contaminated Ground. magiccontroller and I agree on that.

Would take his advice and replace it with Mutilate
Or I would add 4 Blackmail or another discard card like Chain of Smog.

Besides that, I think you should do good in your group of players with this deck.
And you can always write the names of your cards you want on pieces of paper or extra Magic land Cards, put them in sleeves, and try the deck like that. Do test runs.

The contaminated grounds are for the nyxathid and funeral charm to get a 7/7 with swampwalk and since the contaminated ground forces my opponent to have a swamp it always works

Did not see that the Funeral Charm can also give a creature Swampwalk. Nice.

Also my friend at bblaze would appreciate it if you guys would go to his profile and check out his mill and commander decks and provide any advice or suggestions on his decks to help him out because me and him played a game between his mill and my discard and my discard won every time so he was trying to improve his deck

The Contaminated Ground is the only really bad choice in the deck, besides that Eridian22, I think it shows some promise. It is a lot better, I think, then his rough draft was.

I was just listing cards off the top of my head which were better than the above.

However I do agree it would be a much better discard oriented deck with those suggestions. looking at his deck how he had it to begin with though it is much much better.

That is my Bounce/Discard deck. Check it out Bfrick2. I can't never seem to win with it thought. Same idea as your's. Discard, bounce, discard, bounce.

It is a very good card (better than Liliana's Caress) in a discard deck. If you asked me (but magiccontroller is a better discard deck maker...so I would ask him) my final decision would be to take out Liliana's Caress for Quest for the Nihil Stone (doing 5 damage every turn versus 2 damage), and take out the Sign In Blood for Duress.

Nice first turn for you would be this: Play Swamp. Tap Swamp. Play Dark RItual. Play Quest for the Nihil Stone. Then play Duress, remove a card from their hand, then play Blackmail and remove another card from their hand.

So, your very first turn your opponent has lost two cards AND your Quest for the Nihil stone has two counters on it and is ready to start doing 5 damage every turn.

That is much faster than Liliana's Caress.

ok i'm liking these changes this deck just got way faster

Also another reason why i like caress is because i like to prevent weaknesses in decks like if my opponent had a deck focused on drawing a lot of cards nihil wouldn't be working as often but if i had caress they lose life wether they build up their hand or not

That's why i use funeral charm as an instant to make him discard right away
