Generally I'd agree with pretty much every point you make, but this isn't really so much for any kind of competitive play as it is meant for a game type me and a few friends are trying. The deck is meant to be apart of something like the typical duel decks WOTC sells, but completely in block, so it kind of restricts us for card choice. Thanks for the input though!

Arashin Cleric is more of a sideboard card against red but it's got its uses, especially since your list is a bit light on one drops. As for putting in one drops, there are a few white 2/1s for one, but not all of them are great. Dragon hunter is kind of cool, it might help you against stuff like thunderbreak regent, but you do have plenty of flying blockers as it is.
Stasis snare seems good in this, for getting rid of things destroy effects can't handle such as Deathmist Raptor or Hangarback Walker.
I know the budget is the focus but for those who are curious I think battlefield forge is actually quite affordable. As for the deck, I like it a lot. Ride Down is always a fun card to find in deck lists.
a 3/3 with lifelink is much more difficult to block profitably than a regular 3/2. Also, I care if a card gets exiled, especially if it's the land I needed which costs me the game, which has happened when I've used abbot in the past.
I haven't tested this myself but I don't think you want more Abbots in the main board over Seeker. Abbot seems like a great card to topdeck into, but I'd always hate playing it on turn two.
I especially like bringing back hydras, it's quite rude. Maybe Siege-Gang Commander for a free hordeling outburst whenever you need it.
As far as goofy combo things go, adding alesha to bring back Grey Merchant is a fun time, though she can't do much for Abhorrent Overlord.
Blackcleave cliffs over the ktk life lands?
No, go the fuck away dickhead.
Taylor is my best friend and hella-super-sexy
Thanks for the suggestions
See, that's what I get for not playing when this stuff was in standard...
thanks for the recommendation
