Everybody conga! The conga line is a novelty line dance that was derived from the Cuban carnival dance of the same name and became popular in the US in the 1930s and 1950s. In recent years the conga's popularity has spread to the Magic the Gathering multiverse. Anybody can form a line and "do the conga", as they say, but few can nail it better than our favourite zombie dragon Bladewing the Risen. As soon as Bladewing's troupe starts a conga line, you can bet your bottom mana that it will be the most explosive and spectacular dance of the night. In fact, once the Bladewing conga begins, it's pretty much guaranteed to be the closing act of the show.
The first part of planning a party is choosing a venue. And for a dragon like Bladewing, the venue of choice is always the Graveyard. To assemble our troupe as fast as possible we've got a few tricks to help us - Entomb, Faithless Looting, Discovery and Buried Alive. Not every dancer needs to be present for the jamboree to begin, so our priority is:1. Bladewing the Risen - the man himself, usually starts the conga line2. Dragonlord Kolaghan - dance coordinator, she'll ensure your troupe moves at lightning pace 3. Bladewing's Thrall - wherever the man goes, his boys follow; bring as many as you can4. Rot Hulk - these boys are Bladewing's trusted bodyguards; bring one to the party, and more will surely follow5. Phyrexian Delver - sure they might cost extra, but they know how to get a rise out of anyoneOnce we've got our venue chosen and squad together it's time to start the dance. In the US they say "everybody conga". In the Multiverse it goes more along the line of "Reanimate", "Unburial Rites" and "Footsteps of the Goryo". Any one of these phrases aimed at Delver, Hulk or Bladewing will spring them into action and trigger our conga line. The traditional Bladewing conga line looks something like this: Bladewing > Kolaghan > Thrall > Thrall > Thrall > Thrall (22 power of dance moves)Hulk>Bladewing> Kolaghan > Thrall > Thrall > Thrall > Thrall (27 power of dance moves)If we're lucky enough to have the full troupe in the house it looks like this:Delver>Delver>Hulk>Hulk>Hulk>Hulk> Bladewing > Kolaghan > Thrall x4 (48 power)Also, there's bats. Bats live in Desecrated Tombs which are often found in Bladewing's venues. Assuming a Tomb is nearby, every member of our dance group will bring along a bat companion for an even longer conga line (up to 58 power). As soon as the dance beings our ensemble will hastily fly over to any opponent in sight and bring the festivities to them. Truly an unforgettable sight, reportedly described as "to die for".Our next performance is in the City of Brass. Just go south from the Sacred Foundry and take a right at the Godless Shrine. We'll be at the Blood Crypt. Don't wait. Join us in the Bladewing Conga.
