(a) Stripping the deck down to 60 cards (yeah i know, i like my decks at a nice healthy 70 too, but it really makes a difference if they are at 60)
(b) Adding some mass discards, like Wit's End, Persecute, or Mindstab (suspend it at turn 1, very fun).
I have a discarder deck too, although on very different lines. Please comment on it! http://www.mtgvault.com/viewdeck.php?did=5643

This seems to be lacking discard cards for a discard deck. True, you have 4 of each specter and 4 Hymn's, but that really isnt efficient. Since you have 8 rack-like cards, you are depending on your opponent's having a small hand size. Now, what with all your bounce, and only 1-card-at-a-time discarding, that will leave your opponent with quite a healthy hand size. I recommend:

in my opinion, if you just wanted to get your friends into magic without shoveling out a bunch of cash, but structure decks. Just buy one of each color from like the tenth edition structure decks, and let your friends add cards to make them 60-card decks, so they will be slightly personalized.

yeah... well, I like to keep my decks on a budget, so Damnations don't seem likely. Unless i get one from my friends... hehe they don't have any either.

This deck plays fairly well, usually lending itself to a near 1-hit K.O. with Wistful thinking and such. It needs more answers to creatures, however. I appreciate your comments, please provide additional feedback. Thanks! :)

Seems a bit slow, and the mana base is screwy. In a deck that focuses on lockdown, you really should be running at least 23 land. Also, put in the split lands from Ravnica. Seems a bit slow; may want either mana acceleration or more stuff to play early on.

Well, you only seem to have 8 ways to gets saprolings, 10 if you count the Bramble elemental. You have a crapload of life-gain, however. I'd ditch some of it and grab some more saproling-producing cards. Include Krosan Drover and Doubling Season to really pump them out. Maybe some Thelonite Hermits too .

I agree, you are lacking some early-game stuff. Try to add some better lands, some split dual ones from Ravnica would be nice. Maybe a Saltcrusted Steppe to get your mana going so you can pump out the high-costing spells earlier.

Better? I sorta fixed up the mana base, removed the white. I didn't want to drop too many Forced Fruitions, because they just kick so much @ss. They lock down all opponents, help in decking out and discarding, and keep other people's hands fat.

Tried to add some sages, but couldn't decide what to drop. Vision skeins, maybe? Please comment on the updated deck.

once again, I appreciate your assistance.

excellent. thanks for comments; will do. I play-tested this deck a couple days ago and it actually does fairly well despite its 70 cards. I wanted to add 2 more Perplex, as they serve for 1. Fetching Underworld Dreams/Megrim/Wistful Thinking, 2. Can counter, 3. Can discard.

I will remove Dismal Failure, as i never really got any use out of it. The white shall be removed. Sage Owls shall be added. Please comment further on deck improvements, i appreciate it.

In a 60 card deck, 20 lands is lacking. In a 65 card deck, 20 land is really pushing it. You need at least 22, I'd go with 25 or so. At least put in some split lands from the Ravnica block :)

similar to my deck. (http://www.mtgvault.com/viewdeck.php?did=5643) I would skip the kill cards and use bounce. It goes better with the theme of discarding, too. See, if you have bounce, you just return it to their hand and A. Discard it and make them take damage, or simply B. Fatten their hand size so they have to discard more and, ultimately, take even more damage. Please help me with my deck as well, like above :)

hmm. lots of comments here, would like it if someone commented on my deck :) I need suggestions. This deck looks pretty good, please use your collective intellect to make this one better:
"Discard Fest" BWU: http://www.mtgvault.com/viewdeck.php?did=5643
Discard, control, bounce, and Auramancers to grab stuff, keeps opponent's hand up and keeps the damage going with Forced Fruition.

Sorry don't mean to be jacking attention from this deck, i just wanted some people to check out how mine compares
