I knew I wanted to create a combo deck but had no idea I could make one with 47 different combos! The commander, Zedruu, is amazing and the colours made it so easy too find these combos! They are based around Kiki-Jiki, [[Splinter Twin]], Intruder Alarm, and Mana Echoes. If the combos don't come alive when you look at this deck, check out the "How To" section below!
I should start out by saying that 47 is not precise, but rather me taking 10 minutes to add up all the combos I could see. There are probably dozens more, I just haven't noticed them. For instance, when I was writing this I realized Devout Invocation triggered Stonybrook Schoolmaster to go infinite when Intruder Alarm is on the field. Had to pump it to 48 after! The first basic combos are with Splinter Twin and Kiki Jiki. First, copy a creature that untaps target creature when it enters the battlefield (I have 7 of these with some tutors as well). Simply target the tapped original or the tapped kiki-Jiki to untap it and make another copy, untapping the original again. Infinite guys! That makes 2 combo cards, and 7 combo compliments making 14 separate combos. The second combos are with Intruder Alarm. The best example is with Devout Invocation. With Intruder Alarm and an untapped creature on the field cast Devout Invocation. Tap your creature to create an angel which then, due to Intruder Alarm, untaps the creature you tapped. Tap it again for another angel. Repeat. That's another infinite combo! The next set of combos with Intruder Alarm involve non-mana using things tapping for creatures (Summoning Station) and having non-mana using untap abilities ready on creatures (Aphetto Alchemist) . Same as before, Tap Summoning Station to make a 2/2 and use the alchemist to untap it. Tap it again for another 2/2, which due to Intruder Alarm, untaps the Aphetto Alchemist. Repeat. The majority of the combos are reliant on having Mana Echoes and Intruder Alarm on the field at the same time. Mana-using creature producers like Trading Post or Acorn Catapult create tons of the same creature type which means Mana Echoes can make enough mana to sustain the ability (like Trading Post making goats), so long as an untap engine is in play. Since you will make infinite mana, Staff of Domination works just as well as Alphetto Alchemist or Tidewater Minion in this case. When you're done you could have infinite 0/1 goats! Yeah! Lastly, using Mana Echoes in conjunction with Penatavus is a two card combo that instantly gets you infinite Pentavites. Just start making pentavites to make mana with Mana Echoes, then when Pentavus is low on counters stock it back up until you can start taking them off again for mana and Pentavites. Seems good. In conlcusion, you really aren't looking to win in the traditional fashion at all (or at all). Maybe you reeeaaaallly want to attack your friend with infinite 0/1 goats. Whatever you want, it sounds like a good time. The deck is very consistent with cards like Tezzeret, Sunforger, Mystical Tutor, Enlightened Tutor, Wild Research and tons of card draw so you should get some combo going (even if it's something lame like Splinter Twin on Pestermite). If you've made it this far, you're a hero. I hope you make this deck and troll your friends epicly (How does your friend's Kaalia deck deal with Statecraft? Hint: It doesn't).
