There's a few builds of eggs for modern, my favorite of which is the shuffle combo list from here:http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/gsge-shuffle-combo-t34-kill-in-modern/The version I'm running in paper is here:http://www.mtgvault.com/forohforerror/decks/bitter-eggs/

You son of a pun.
I wouldn't be running the basics if I didn't need the colored sources, sadly.
The 2 mana makes it much worse, and there's only 1 way to actually sacrifice it in the deck. It makes kuldotha rebirth slightly better, but is worse than the other cards in a vacuum, so I'm not running it.
Lotus Petals can probably be cut for a fourth thoughtcast, or a few faithless lootings, or even some more spellbombs mainboard (or a fourth Terrarion)
Kami of False Hope or Children of Korlis or Burrenton Forge-Tender would be good.
Spellbomb can get a card back if necessary.
I could go the route of adding some Birds of Paradise, some mana elves, and go infinite mana, but that pushes the wincons to 4-card combos. Maybe sideboard that whole strategy, in case the mill comes against one of the Eldrazi reshufflers?
Fair enough with the Firewalker - the protection from red (essentially) is pure upside. However, the flying isn't as relevant, so the faeries won't make the cut, especially with them being greedier on mana.
I'd love to have better wincons, but the cheapest that aren't mill are in red and black (for damage and loss of life), and I'm not sure the manabase can take too much of that and remain fairly reliable. And I'm skeptical about taking it from a 3-card combo to a 4-card combo, especially with only 2 copies of what I need :/
Dies to removal way too easily. Also, not in standard?
Destructive Revelry gets into the sideboard. There are situations where the 3 damage of lightning strike will be more useful than the 2 damage of shock (kills Nyx Weavers and Chief Engineers), and the hydras seem painfully slow.
Strictly better than 60 defensive stance.
Aegis of the Gods is 1W, not WW. True Believer was WW.
Strictly better than 60 stormcrows
