Use control tactics to keep enemy at bay until you can use Diabolic Tutor to search for Quicksilver, Sheoldred, or Platinum Emperion. I believe Sheoldred to be the single best creature in Standard right now, if you disagree please let me know; I'm open to suggestions. That and Platinum Emperion have the ability to shut down a lot of decks. I play this deck very cautiously; always keeping at least enough mana for once Cancel to counter an opponent's Cancel to my Quicksilver, Sheoldred, or Emperion. Ponder and Think Twice for a small draw engine. Laboratory Maniac in Sideboard because I play a lot of mill decks, but may take this card out of Sideboard if the deck does well enough against mills.

Sheoldred rules. I'm of the opinion that Norn's sexier, but whatyagonndo. This is a pretty cool idea that absolutely falls on its face if the opponent has no creatures and if there's no Evil Twins in your grave. I'd maindeck the hell out of Think Twice, throw Forbidden Alchemies in there, and some more creatures. That way, you'll have all the draw power you could ever ask for (seriously, playset of Ponder/Think Twice and like two or three FAs is as good as draw gets outside of Big Jace) while pitching your dudes into the grave for Sheoldred. You got me on a Sheoldred boner now. Hell yes.

I do like Elesh Norn, but she's not the type of carry I'm looking for in this deck. I also like Forbidden Alchemist, but I don't like the inconsistency of possibly accidentally haivng to discard a Diabolic Tutor/Sheoldred/Quicksilver. I may take your advice and throw the Think Twices in, in place of the Tribute to Hunger. I do, however, not plan on putting in more creatures - simply because when I play with this deck now (I've almost obtained all the needed cards) it does a very nice job of countering any creatures they feel like playing. To fix the damage problem, I play on acquiring four Phyrexian Obliterators (; But for now I'm going to try without the extra creatures. When people at FNM have to deal with four Sheoldreds (assuming they beat 3 already), they commonly get a good Sheoldred boner.
