Deck Description

the more black mana you have the more powerful you become - cards that benefit from lots of swamps or being pumped.this deck really kicks off when the coffers come into play.

a few low cost spells to see me through early attacks usualy wipe the board with a mutilate then build from there with a lot of swamps in play discarding my opponents hand with the ritualists is another great leverler along with the mutilates then i play big niightmares and corrupts or profane commands the cabal coffers and magus of the coffers as well as the nikarna reverants serve to boost these effects considerably !, this deck can take early damage then kill you in one go and/or gain life back and establish itself, works well if it gets through the early turns.

With that much black mana production you need to think about Pestilence, without a doubt the second best black remover/win condition in the game. Chuck in a few Exsanguinate's and your opponents are going to be reaching for their rears with both hands!

added another profane command to use all the mana this deck can provide so much in fact that ive dropped x 2 magnus of the coffers i feel x4 cabal coffers and the nikarna reverants offer enough, and ive added x 2 mimic vats with so much going to graveyards through mutilates pestilance ect ect, there really useful.

ok moved mimic vats which worked well with the mutilates to sideboard as there was so much going to the graveyard i always had good pickings with the vat, however they are sideboarded along with the massacre wurms in favour of lashwrithe as these fit the deck theme so perfect there a living weapon which really sold it to me so what you have is a cheap nightmare !, also when i mutilate and wipe the board i attach the equipment to the next thing i play and its mega powerfull and proberbly the only creature on the board. ! ( in all likleyhood the vats and the wurms will prob get grouped with some skinrenders into a mimic vat deck at some point).

drain life type cards such as profane command just wasnt fun enough although i did win this way, but with so much mana from the cofferes and frequent board wipping through mutilates and pestilence i like the batter skulls casue i can always return to hand and replay meaning ive always got a creature to start rebulding after a wipe also good equips on my big creatures and give the life back.

update ! - its a sad day but i think the nightmares day has been and come there still great buut the rune-scarred demon is a 6/6 for 1 more nightmares are normally a 6/6 for 6 but the rune-scarred also give you a card !, invaluble especially suited to this deck where i control the board with a mutilate so they loose everything but so do i but then i pay the rune-scarred which lets me go fetch something else and i build quicker. (as mentioned batterskulls also help in a similar way).this deck lays a little different from when it was 1st created but plays strong now one of my top 5 decks.
