Deck Description

Bounce the shrieking drake back to your hand using his own ability on himself triggering multiple untapping with the intruder alarm and multiple damage through Thornwind Faeries use equilibrium as you keep bouncing the drake to put several creatures an opponent controls away as you do so.

an old deck modernised gives a lot of control.

please rate help and comment and like

2/1/2011 - ust thought of an infinate combo in here adding silver myr, to intuder alarm and a prodical sorcerer type cards like one of the merfolks in here !,

you have a prod, a intruder alarm and a silver myr in play, deal one damage with the prod card, you use the mana from the silver myr to cast shreiking drake he comes into play untaps the prod and the silver myr return the draske back to your own hand using its own ability and repeat for infinate damage !

Well I mean there is always pact of negation... but no one wants to pay for it later. Counter target activated ability spells maybe... good luck finding more of them :)

Also: Wouldn't a Curiosity-enchanted Thornwood Faeries/Suq'Ata Firewalker/Rootwater Hunter with the combo you mentioned also mean infinite draw power. Just sayin. >.>

why does intruder alarm help you?

0
Posted 07 January 2011 at 19:16

ok play a Thornwind Faerie or rootwater hunter, if there is an intruder alarm in play, i can tap the creature deal 1 damage, cast shreiking drake for x1 blue mana as it enters the battlefield all my creatures including all the Thornwind Faeries and rootwater hunters untap i choose the effect of the shrieking drake to target itself, return it to my hand and repeat for each blue mana i have, hence if i have a silver myr in play and cast the drake using him i also have infinate damage, i can also repeatedly cast the shreiking drake and pay 2 mana rather than 1 and put a creature away each turn with the equilibrium.

you just loved it last night !, does shut things down mind you, but then thats classic blue control, i feel the same way about that damn flyer that gives you life back as you cast flyers after i get you down to 3 damage or something lol.

dude this now has infinate mana and caerd draw see above comments ref the silver myr's might even run 4 of them dropping the guilded drake as i raley need to pinch hcreatures.

4 Silver Myr would definitely be good, since you'd need 2 of them to get the infinite mana to work. It's easier to get 2/4 of the Myr into play, than it is to get 2/3 of them :) Plus, the infinite mana would work well with the infinite card draw.

The infinate combo is really cool and probably very quick to get out. This is already a very powerful deck which i didnt think really needed any changes it looked prety complete. I think i would put it in sideboard so you can include it depending on who you are playing as you know how people moan but its a great idea, I would suggest you change this deck to Tournament quality

nice comments mate thank you, im a bit more comfy with the infinate combo in here your right our regular group dont like infinate combo's as a win condition but this one does take a bit of setting up and its not the only win condition, ill throw it in and see the reaction then proberly switch to sideboard ect, depending if i'm playig people of reasonable minds lol. cheers again and i'll check your new decks asap.

Ah, that's brilliant! Thumbs up :)

A good idea for a card to include: Charisma. Before you can get the combo off, the opp might out-tempo you. Charisma will let you steal their creatures, even if just 1 per turn until you get Intruder Alarm out. Even when you get Intruder Alarm out, but before the infinite combo, you can steal their creatures whenever they cast one, too.

Just a thought. Love these quirky combo decks!

hi, thanks for the comments, in terms of getting out paced your right to a point as im often waiting certain combonations of cards to come out - the shreiking drake is the big one, but as long as i have a drake i can hold off without the intruder alarm using the drake on itself and 1 extra mana putting as manay creatures as mana allows away with the equilibrium this is quite quick as its only 2 mana per creature, and does slow them down early doors - in fact shuts them down, i like charisma as an alternative to equilibrium although i'm relying on having a prodi type creature out to make it work, so ill think that over equilbrium lets me handle more things though, but i may throw a charisma in as an alternative. yes t5his one certainly is quirky i built it years ago and have recently updated, its stilla very effective deck., cheers.

Ah! Yeah, I didn't think of using Equilibrium to bounce /their/ creatures. I kind of glazed over that card as being a more expensive alternative to Shrieking Drake if you should fail to draw one. Definitely a good choice, as it forces opponents to recast their creatures, triggering Intruder Alarm yet again.

I really like the idea of a timmy with Charisma and Intruder Alarm though. I might build around that one day :) The whole idea, they cast a creature, untap, ping it, gain control of it. Not so sure it's worth replacing Equilibrium with though, but I do think if you wanted to run Charisma in the deck, you could afford to reduce Equilibrium to 3x, and your least favorite of the two counterspells to 3x, and be able to run 2x Charisma.

Finally, one other card worth looking at (not to complicate things any more :P) is Pemmin's Aura. Can pay {U} to untap enchanted creature, or to give it shroud. Might be a good side-board card for burn decks that don't run as many creatures. The shroud is good to keep your timmy alive, but also for a less-infinite source of damage, but still better than 1/turn.

Just to let you know, most people don't mind posting links to other decks. It's sometimes hard to get a deck noticed, and missing out on that feedback could mean missing out on a great idea. But personally, I think it's rude to just post a link without any sort of comment relative to the deck you're posting on. Give a little, receive a little, ya know?

I love this deck idea. I was considering a blue/red deck that focused on lots of creatures to tap for damage, but this looks way better than what I was going for. Great job.

If you get a chance check out my decks. I would love some feedback.

Pingers in blue were one of the original mistakes made in Alpha by WotC. Slowly but surely, they have been colorshifted to red, from Pro Pyro to Lightning Crafter.
Even if they were mistakes, they still allow for the amazing combos like the ones you have made. I respect that very much.
Could someone please look @ my upcoming standard mill deck?

update - dropped some of the mana intensive stuff and found i was over scrying using the cryptic anylids so added quick counter in way of turn aside as i always use at least x2 counterspells to protect the drakes and added x 2 diminish for quick kills with all the prods and faires ect, runs quickeer and smoother now i feel
