Deck Description

The plan is to beat down with big stompy creatures that help other big stompy creatures, oh and to play them as fast as possible, as all my friends like to play weenie decks!!

I would use 4 jungle shrines, they're more useful than mountains/plains. Also 24 lands may be a lot given twelve other mana cards. Take out Rith for 4 Meglonoth, it's better. Mayael's Aria is actually really good.. You may want one or two more of those.

thanks dude, I know what you mean with the jungle shrines, my only problem with having four in is that they come in tapped so unless I pick them up first turn I would rather play a basic land and yeah, I'll think about the Mayael's aria :)

Nice deck and I agree with Ish, mayael's aria would work well with retaliator griffin also with all those counters on it, good land choice also, I'd also throw in a X creature such as primordial hydra. you'd win relatively fast with mayael's aria with those doubling counters. Just a thought.

You could also possibly throw in a planeswalker such as garruk, primal hunter. 6/6 wyrms aren't anything your buddies would want to mess with, its a nice endgame move to overwhelm your opponents.

Im also buying a deck im making feel free to comment on it. Its a golem/token deck thats green/white.

ah tar man, I took the mayael's aria out though, me and my friends have a no 'win the game' card rule haha but other wise it would work nicely :) I also took the griffin out because when ever I got it out my mates seem toshock it straight off, so I ended up paying 4 mana for a creature they killed with 1 mana :)

I like the look of garruk, primal hunter though, I've added one in just on the chance I draw him, will order one for the actual soon haha, I'll check out your golem/token deck man. :)

I like your no 'win the game' card rule. I feel like it sort of takes away from the flavor of MTG. Thanks for your comments on my similar Naya deck btw. I'm on the fence about the Jungle Shrine also. It does a lot of mana fixing, but slows down the deck quite a bit. I've also been considering Pillar of the Paruns with Reflecting Pool etc. to fix the mana. Those don't enter tapped, but limits the deck to playing mostly gold cards. As you saw, I ended up putting a bunch of way too expensive dual lands in my deck (along with the Jungle Shrines) which I realize is an epic waste on a less than perfect home brew deck like mine, but then again, why not you know. I bought two dual lands with every pay check for a long time until I had four of each, but I realize having 12 dual lands available for a deck like this is not very realistic, and I'll probably end up removing them and using them in other decks sooner or later. Sunpetal and Rootbound etc. with basic lands is always a godd, and way less expensive) way of solving the issue. I love those lands, and I think they were a nice addition to Magic by WotC. Have fun man : )

Thanks for the comment man.

good on ya for the lands mate, I wish I had them! but yeah I get what you mean with putting them in the home brew, but if you haven't got another use for them yet then use 'em! they'll help the deck's mana flow double fold. As for the lands I use they are really good, I like the ballance I have with it and always seem to draw the right one at the right time :)

thanks again for your comment man and happy MTG playing!
