Future Sight is amazing in a Talrand deck, it can be the equivalent of drawing 3, 4, 5 or more cards a turn. There's been games where I've chained a dozen cards in a row cast off the top of my deck with it. A few mana-doublers like Caged Sun, Extraplanar Lens or Gauntlet of Power wouldn't hurt.An early Quicksilver Fountain can lock people outProteus Staff can tuck a commander, magically turn one of your drakes into a Snapcaster, or when your creatures are gone let you reorder your entire library stacking lands on the bottom and cards on the top (which you can then chain cast with Future Sight).

Hmm, I hadn't thought about those... I appreciate your advice, I definitely want to put Future Sight in. Mana doubling effects are exactly what I want here, High Tide probably being the favoured one since it's an instant. As for the Fountain, it will probably do very well in here. And I like Proteus Staff, but I think I'll have to take a pass. Turning a drake into a Snapcaster Mage seems somewhat underwhelming. I think I'd rather fill the slot with another cantrip.
Proteus Staff can be really time-consuming and annoying to run too.Have you considered Isochron Scepter? The copy is considered a cast spell so it'll trigger Talrand.
Hmm, that could do some real work in here. Especially with High Tide.
