Um good ideas. If I wasnt a poor college kid, I do mean really no money, I would justify paying 13$+ for Flooded Strands.

I do understand your more aggro point, I am known in my casual group as THE blue mage, so any other aggro sugestions?

from my limited experience the sample hand button is a horrible shufflier.

Well instant speed is something to consider, I suppose. But that -to me anyways- is a personal choice.

I am not that knowlagable on the new cards. Secure Tribe Elders, or however you spell it is a good mana excel, blocker that can sac for land. Also Nature's Lore is an excelent mana excel the draw back is that a ) out dated, and B ) gets a forest.
Another option is um, crop rotation but thats more mana fixing than mana accel. Which I bring up due to you are only running four islands.

I understand your point of why Captian of the Watch is a good card, but with only 12-14 mana producing land, I do not think haviung to many six cmc cards. Even the two I do have I can sneak in with morph. I have won games with this deck, so I know it works. What would you take out for the Smiths? I might be able to squeeze a two set of both if I remove my white counter spells.. Besides that I really do not see any way to get cards in without increase the deck above sixty. If this is rude, I am sorry, just fixed deck and wanted you to know my logic.

I dont see the land problem. running 22 lands plus you have Garruk. The only problem I really see is the number of high level spells.

Well if I buy 2 Grave pacts thats all my spending money to upgrade this deck, I could squeeze in an extra dollar, but unfortanatly no where near enough for a play set of Hymns.
