Its been a while since ive seen an "Elves on steroids" deck. and this deck has it beat for sure. My suggestions are: --Though it may be limiting, try to increase the card count of each card to 4. doing so makes it harder for decks like mine (mill decks) and others like discard and counter decks to prevent you from getting some of the more important cards on the battlefield. Also 4 of each card also brings the number of different cards down so you are more likely to have in your hand what you need at the time. --I would focus on keeping my mana and token generators --I would also drop giant growth for Overwhelming Stampede color: Green card type: Sorcery casting cost: 3{G}{G} card text: Until end of turn, creatures you control gain trample and get +X/+X, where X is the greatest power among creatures you control. (If a creature you control would assign enough damage to its blockers to destroy them, you may have it assign the rest of its damage to defending player or planeswalker.) Yes its expensive but combined with "Might of the Masses", "Blanchwood Armor" and the number of tokens I imagin you'll have on the field at that point, that would probably be the last turn of the match. --For your side deck (or sideboard) --To help prevent milling I would add any 3 of the legendary eldrazi (dont summon it, just discard it or let it be milled) and I would also add some of the elves that didnt make it to your main deck --Another card you may consider putting in your side deck (since the main thing of elves is mana generation) would be a card who's power and toughness is equal to the amount you paid for it minus a few forests like Protean Hydra. it can be a huge and costly creature but also has a short game use as it grows too. color: Green card type: Creature - Hydra casting cost: X{G} power/toughness: 0/0 card text: Protean Hydra enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on it. If damage would be dealt to Protean Hydra, prevent that damage and remove that many +1/+1 counters from it. Whenever a +1/+1 counter is removed from Protean Hydra, put two +1/+1 counters on it at the beginning of the next end step. Add that to your Blanchwood armor, might of the masses, your tokens and overwhelming stampede. then laugh evily as you attack.

I would sideboard anything that targets a creature that is on the battle field. I would try to raise Nezumi Shortfang to 4, you can put more then 1 of the small card out, just dont let your opponent discard or drop his entire hand and you wont have any worries about loosing a legendary creature. With a deck at about 60 cards, if I dont have atleast 20 mana in it, I usually cant get enough spells casted. I would also try to bring in more Bloodchief Ascension and Painful Quandary. Oh and if you decide to drop the tutors, you can get a couple viscera seer and reassembling skeletons -Viscera Seer {B} Sacrafice a creature, Scry 1 -Reassembling Skeleton {1}{B} {1}{B} Return Reassembling Skeleton to the battle field tapped That combo should help get the card you need, when you need it. I would recommend using it at the end of your opponent's turn so that you dont waste mana Also even though it is limiting, I would try to ensure I have 4 of each card in my deck, it increases the chance that I'll draw one, decreases the chance that all of them will be forced to be discarded, countered, or milled. plus most cards' abilities stack when you have multiple on the field. (like if you have 4 liliana's caress and 4 megrim on the field that is 16 damage per dropped card coupled with 4 Painful Quandary, the only decks that could survive that is a platnium angel, fast gain life, Cho-Manno / Pariah [all damage goes to enchanted creature - place it on a Cho-Manno, Revolutionary that prevents all damage to himself] Hope that helps
Hey, thanks much. I'll look into the cards your suggesting as soon as I get home. (so bored at work)
Nice black burn. only problem I see is its not completely legal and you will have a problem with mills
Oh it is, but how many people do you know of that would worry over an 0/2 flier?
Id add more than 1 Platnium Angel in your deck (4 would be optimum) I would also put in there some where Ornithopter. 0 mana for an 0/2 flier (-0 loyalty from tezzeret) then you can strengthen it up with equipment and tezzeret
For when you face other mill decks I would put in your side board Sword of body & mind (4x), Quest for anchient secretes (4x), and for anti-mill decks I would add Nihil Spellbomb(4x) then to maintain your1/3 mana ratio I would add 3 mana. Looking at your ratio of white to blue, I would consider distributing the mana as 8x plains, 12x islands, and keep them basic since there are more than a few "destroy target non-basic land" spells. You can toy arround with the idea of dropping the coat of arms for Traumatize, its very good at turn 4 in a mill deck (1/2 target player's library goes by by) Other than that its very simular to a deck i had in 2008, your oponent will be too worried with trying to keep good spells out of the graveyard than killing your merfolk. Not to mention you can always decide to take damage instead of blocking, or if you block use your 1/1 tokens, they are replaceable.
The idea of stampede (actually overwhelming stampede) is to bring all your lands up to the same strength of the hydra and give them all trample. The only way to survive that is damage prevention Heres a red hord deck I'm thinking about building http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=173798
umm ouch. I'd like to see how it fares against my mill deck though http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=173068
Peronally I'd ad 2 cards to it to give your mana beef. hydra protean and stampede.
