Based on the title I'm sure you can tell Zaxara, the Exemplary is intended to be the commander but isn't in the site's card database yet. I'd like to add more black so I'm open to any suggestions.

Should I build this in paper of the Ghave deck I have designed?
Because niv is such a big threat I want to play more in case of removal or early thought erasure. But it works really well and I’ve been able to place second at many showdowns and fnms do to bad side boarding calls (side board is not up on here)
Because gauntlet helps everyone with green

That may be true. I like to brew deck that are similar strategies as main stream decks but in a way that is different... I’m not sure how to explain it. Another example I have is this deck (I’ll post the link below), it’s a Mardu Death’s Shadow deck with similar aspects to the mainstream grixis version but feels different and is still fun and successful in my trials.https://www.mtgvault.com/fenderwrestler/decks/mardu-deaths-shadow/
I cut all molderhulk and 1 prized amalgam for 4 thought scour
It's helpful for tokens and life gain and the occasional +1/+1 counter. If you have a suggestion for a replacement I'll for sure consider it.
What makes the deck not legal in commander? I'm pretty sure none of the other cards are on the ban list?
I would but that one isn't legal in commander.
Sick deck, dude... noob
Any suggestions on this?
I kind of prefer caged sun
If you wanted to do that you could. I prefer the other two, however. Crackling doom deals extra damage to my opponent as well as forcing them to sacrifice their biggest blocker/attacker. Boros charm I can use as protection for my creatures against kill spells or deal more damage if I need that extra push. The only reason I would consider orzhov charm is to return death's shadow to the battlefield from the graveyard and I already have claim //fame in for that purpose.
It works really well actually and I think it's a great substitute for snapcaster... Depending on what you want to do that is. I like to play a little more aggressively so I prefer dark-dwellers. It gets a spell back from the graveyard and poses as a threat on the field in most situations.
Thanks for all feedback! I know I need to make edits in the land base but the other suggestions are very helpful. I'm working on a non budget version of this that will be more consistent and better overall while maintain the key principles of the deck. I'll post it here when I'm done.
Cutting the monastery swiftspear from the deck might actually slow it down a bit. They are a great way to start hitting making it easier for magnivore to enter the battlefield for the kill. They are also a good creature to sack for smallpox if I need to. Smallpox is also in there as removal for my opponents creatures. I took out two of them already because I can't afford to loose my other creatures. It's also a card that deals damage. One point can make or break games. I would like to run mor enigma drakes because I think it is a great card for this deck. However, in the sideboardbthere are two spellheart chimera which is the same thing with 3 toughness instead of 4 and trample for the flying match up such as lingering souls.Young pyromancerbi think would slow down the deck too. It would make it more creature heavy and take always some of the control that it already has. Last thing, thanks for pointing out cryptic serpent. I think that would be a great card to add but I think the same would happen with young puromancer. But I'm not sure. I'll keep that in consideration for future edits!
I made a few edits. Magnivore is the main idea of this deck. Smallpox works in the deck only if I don't have just one creature out so I limited those. Enigma drake would be good in here as another creature that follows magnivore and has flying, so thank you for that idea. How ever it only uses my own graveyard instead of all players like magnivore. Magnivore, more often than not, will be bigger than a 4/4 when entering the battlefield.
This deck is supposed to act like a mill deck at first. Death's shadow is one of the top cards in modern right now so I created this twist. When ever I play a mill deck I always get really close to milling my opponent while I have low life and end up losing. Death's Shadow decks do that on purpose.
it was a standard deck. but because of the new rotation, i changed it to modern i could change the lands in it for a more modern base but these are the ones that I have already and i think would work just fine. I forgot sarkhan the mad needed a black source so i pulled him entirely. What lands would anyone suggest that are effective and still cheap?
