Zur Haze 2.0

Main Deck (60 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Quite a bit different from before, essentially a bit less life gain, a couple alternate win conditions, much more control, and a couple more options.

General idea: Get Zur out, protect him with Heart of Light, Shielding Plax, or Pentarch Ward (for a multicolor deck without removal, a multicolor with removal, and a mono, respectively). Continue to bring out enchantments, primarily haze, while controlling as much as possible. When you have enough upkeeps, go for a win condition...

Win Conditions: 1) 3 Upkeeps + Chronomantic Escape makes me invincible, unless they counter escape when it comes out any turn. 2) Several Upkeeps + World Queller + Mirror-Sigil Sergeants allows me to have infinite sacs, meanwhile the enemy hopefully won't. If 2) doesnt work, then 3) Several Upkeeps + Incendiary + World Queller, sac incendiary's creature and boom, big damage to opponent. 4) Mirror-Sigil Sergeants + several upkeeps -> lots of tramplers, probably enough.

Deck looks pretty fun to me, I might have to just save up and buy it all at once.

Any kind of suggestion is good, but especially land ideas.

Deck discussion for Zur Haze 2.0

It looks like you should really hate U/B control... I've seen a lot of similar decks get their haze hit turn two by dark ritual+memoricide, and it's not pretty usually.

For going against ground and pound this is fantastic, however I see a lot of flaws against discard, mill, and basically every control deck.

True. I partially made it because I think it looks really fun, but you're right, without Force of Will or Vexing Shusher it probably wont work well.

Now if I could get vexing shushers in... oh god that'd be nice, it doesn't even have a single one drop as is.

I think i've found my new goal, haha.

Anyway in my meta it wouldnt be necessary, this would beat every deck I face, I believe, since all the controls are primarily white exile (potentially too slow for my hazes and zurs) and are not very expensive or fully formed decks.

Ah, in my meta we all play with decks we've flushed against legacy tournament decks. Not expensive, just competent.
We have at least one control deck around here, and they're usually U/B with mill, or in my case mono-black sacrifice. And they run SO much faster than white exile that it's stupid, I've seen only a few exile decks that had been good, and most of them W/U, or W/B.

For in your meta this is probably a beast already, but I think it will become enough for almost any meta soon.

Yea, I know for example that i'm the only black player in my most common circle of 6 or so (counting me) players, and not sure about some of the less often played people. At the same time, there's only 1 person willing to spend enough for things like say dark ritual, and he isnt the best deckbuilder anyway.

You're right though, I wanna tweak it some more and I think that might involve removing incendiary and adding auramancy as well as maybe changing epochrasites for another counterspell and some mana leaks or something.
