Deck Description

This casual, semi-budget deck has many strategies, involving the Quillspike + Devoted Druid combo as well as Quillspike/Heartmender + Persist creatures in general, as well as Persist + Infect (too low budget for Damnation), and Quillspike + Nantuko Husk + Murderous Redcap/Kitchen Finks + Phyrexian Altar for infinite health or damage to enemy player.

It also includes some reanimate and shroud and a green counter, in case they try to remove Quillspike, Devoted Druid, Nantuko Husk, or Heartmender.

You only have to stall until you get a win condition (including above combos and trample or unblockable).

Without having made or tested this my guess would be that it fares pretty well, except against a very fast aggro or well built u/w control or potentially a mill deck.

(Sideboard is cards I'm considering)

Deck discussion for GB Persist

First Edit: Decided that the two combos involving Phyrexian Altar were powerful enough without it and the card was too specific to be in a combo deck without searches able to find it. So, I took out 2 Phyrexian Altars for 1 Quillspike (involved in nearly all combos) and 1 Nantuko Husk (involved in the same combo).

Too bad that this is a black green deck, one creature I find works nicely with persist creatures is Juniper Order Ranger.

I considered it but decided that it wasn't worth splashing white for just it and maybe Reveillark.

The good news is this deck usually gets a very strong combo going before Ranger would even get pumped very much, although that could potentially be good to draw counters with.

Anyway there were already a ton of cards I was sad to cut.
