DAMN! I completely forgot about Utter End. Thanks for reminding me.

I read about a Rakdos Ogre-Demon deck on boab. Nice throwback!
Some of my warriors will die an honorable death. That is inevitable. But when one dies another is willing to take his place. That's the beauty of aggro. And valorous stance can protect my warriors so they can keep fighting. Or it can get rid of a blocker.
figured since you unloved it.
I love your style. This deck looks supper fun to play.
To answer your second question, is it better to play a 4 drop creature? Most of the time but not always, no. Not in control build. Creatures are easy to kill and can backfire if you're playing board wipes. Sorin doesn't have to worry about that. And Sorin's ultimate is perfect for control build. Forcing your opponent to sac a creature every turn is powerful. And once he goes ultimate victory is almost guaranteed. Your opponent can't play creatures and you're free to swing with your 3/2 vampire with lifelink. He's inevitability on a stick.
Planeswalkers aren't easy to kill. Harder once you've established control. Sorin protects himself by making a blocker. Elpeth does it better but he does protect himself. In most cases he functions as a whip, giving your dudes lifelink and preventing a comeback. Sorin is a real threat and can take over by himself, but he is stronger with friends.
I don't agree with taking out Sorin. He's powerful on his own and provides inevitability. Ugin is also powerful but does not provide inevitability. Control without inevitability is a bad midrange deck.
Best of luck!
Word of warning- You can't answer everything with discard. If your opponent top top decks a bomb and has the mana to play it, there is nothing you can do to stop it. Also, I suggest playing Phyrexian Arena. Card advantage is paramount in this style of deck and it fuels your devotion.
I would play distress over duress mainboard. Paying the extra mana is worth the versatility.
Alrighty. I like the deck.
It depends on the match up. Nighthawk is better against aggro. Specter is better against control.
Hushwing stops the Rhino trigger and the first Sisidisi trigger. Banishing Light, Chained to the Rocks, and Courser are unaffected. Sorin doesn't need a lot of creatures to be powerful. He makes creatures for free. I suggest adding Elpeth in conjunction with Sorin. I agree with more board wipes. You're colors have the best board wipes in standard. In a control deck tapped lands dont hurt that much. Tapped lands hurt the most in tempo based strategies. Control strategies can sacrifice a little tempo and still come out ahead.
The idea of losing on turn 1 due to infect... Gross...
With all your token producers, Sorin would have a nice home here.
I like this deck. I built a UG Ferocious deck. Don't forget about Yasova the Dragonclaw.

What exactly do you need help with?
This plays too few card to fuel your black devotion.
