Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Wanted to make a moonfolk deck 'cuz they seem interesting but tricky to use. Seemed like the best way to go about it was to control all the lands, so... got it.

Steal their lands. Use your (or their) lands to fuel your abilities. Smack them around a bit. Probably lose.

Definitely lose.

Except that one time where it feels real good.

How to Play

So, this deck is basically the most evil and annoying control deck I can think of, because it doesn't just counter creatures or spells, or destroy them on the board, but literally stops people from doing /anything/ after a certain point in the game.

What this means is, its very important to not die in the first few turns. So, major enemies will be the aggro decks. Your major lynchpins are clearly going to be Dominus of Fealty and Patron of the Moon. Patron of the Moon allows you to effortlessly return your lands to play so you can use them to fuel your Moonfolk abilities if you wish (or do not have enough of their lands!) and Dominus of Fealty is used to swap their lands to your control temporarily, at which point you throw them back at your opponent.

Why?

Because now they have to replay that land. Every turn they can only play one land (unless they have something that says otherwise) so as soon as Dominus hits the field, they should never get any more mana. Ever. Again.

Talk about frustrating, right?

Only problem... Dominus is slow.

Patron of the moon... less so, but only if you sacrifice a Moonfolk first. We have plenty of them, and they are fairly useless, so you can eat them and slap that patron down early for a relatively beefy flier. You should be able to get him out without issue on turn three or four, which is good. By then, unless its some super fast deck (which everyone plays) then you should be safe. His ability to return mana or let you put down mana from your hand will be useful. Its sort of like a miniramp for whatever mana you have.

Preferably, you play him turn three. That lets you tap a land with a floodbringer or two to slow them down for a turn, or if you have a Annex in hand, you'll be in good shape by stealing their mana. Considering you probably have Patron down, we can hope they'll be scrambling for a counter (or maybe they wasted their counterspells on him) so that Annex should go down without a hitch.

The game is basically in your favor from this point. You should have a relatively huge mana advantage (unless you're playing Green) that will only get bigger from here on out. You should be playing a Dominus now (or turn four if you had some mana in your hand to throw down with a Patron which is unlikely but still sort of possible) which means that they will never be gaining any more mana, and considering they probably dont have much available right now anyway, you should have no problem with this. Not only that, but Dominus is pretty decent on offense or defense.

At this point, just watch them squirm as you roll over them with their own mana, throw it back at them until their hand is full and forcing them to discard their precious creatures or even more precious mana when you overflow their hand. It'll be fun. Just gotta make it through the first few turns without losing too badly.

Need to get more blue removal and counter spells.

A lot of mine at least perform reasonably well where I play. Like, 7-8/10 in terms of power.

Ugh, I lied. I was aware of Moonfolk.
I built a lockdown deck with Erayo before.

In the past, I would play against one guy...when there were rare chances to play Mtg.
He would usually only play one deck.
A brutal discard deck, absolutely ugly. I remember giving him the last Ensnaring Bridge for his deck to be complete.
I would win about 4/10 of the games I played against it.
My blue Constable deck was undefeated against it.
I wish I had 7-8 out of 10 rating/power.
Good job.
The deck he would beat me down with was this one:

Yeah. I thought it was neat. Only problem is it /might/ be a little slow. I was thinking of swapping out a few enchantment cards with some draw cards to feed more mana, since the Patron of the Moon can throw mana down really fast. Seems like a good thing. Probably side board it. Play more draws vs faster decks to keep up, more enchantments against decks that are a little slower where I dont need to race them so hard.
