Deck Description

This is a concept deck that I conceived and am currently working to make. For under $50, this deck kicks ass. I am not sure why it is not allowed in Legacy, so if someone could clear that up, that would be great.

How to Play

The Four Part Plan deck is a control deck that I am trying to make a bit faster. Currently, it reaches its win condition by turn 7-13 and destroys everyone else's lands by turn 5-8. Although every game will be played differently, the general way in which this deck should be played is as follows (in the order specified below):

Part 1: Setup
-------------------------
The focus of Part 1 is to get as much mana out as fast as possible. By the end of turn one you should have 3-4 mana to use on the next turn.
-------------------------

Part 2: Buff
-------------------------
Get a Gold Myr and play Lumithread Field. Simple as that. This is a very crucial part of this plan and it is important that you do this or you will be screwing yourself over.
-------------------------

Part 3: Conversion
-------------------------
Play March of the Machines and Mycosynth Lattice in any order you please. You may delay Part 2 if you wish to play one of these two cards first, but YOU MUST complete Part 2 before playing the second of the two cards in this part. I will explain what is happening.

When Mycosynth Lattice is played, all permanents become artifacts (among other not as important effects). When March of the Machines is played, all non-creature artifacts become artifact creatures with their power and toughness equal to their CMC. Because your lands have a CMC of 0, you will lose all of your lands by doing this UNLESS Lumithread Field is already in play, in which case you keep all of your lands, but your opponent loses theirs (Now playing Lumithread Field first doesn't sound like such a bad idea huh?). You opponent losing all of their lands effectively negates their ability to stop you from executing the final part of this Four Part Plan.
-------------------------

Part 4: Control
-------------------------
NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU CONTROL MORE PERMANENTS THAN YOUR OPPONENT BEFORE STARTING THIS PART

Play Standardize followed by Peer Pressure. Keep in mind that they need to be played on the same turn and in that order. I will explain what is happening.

When you play Standardize, you declare a creature type. For the rest of the turn, all creatures become that type. Because of your previous steps, all permanents happen to be creatures as well as their other card types and therefore are affected by Standardize. When you play Peer Pressure, declare the same creature type. If you control more creatures (permanents) than your opponent (which after your opponent losing all of their lands, this should be easier), than you control all creatures (permanents) of the chosen type (which is everything).
-------------------------

You can use the tutors as well as the Transmute abilities to get the cards that you need. Do remember that you can also use Transmutes that would otherwise be worthless in order to get tutors. If you are facing a deck that is fast and aggressive, delay the aggression by trying to get Tangle Wire out by turn 2-3 to make your opponent stop for a couple of rounds.

Deck discussion for Four Part Plan (Please Help)

What do you need help with?

If against pure speed...such as a good burn, discard, creature deck...this deck will have trouble.

Sideboard Propaganda for creature decks. Maybe.

And I am only a half ass magic player, but why not just use 4 copies of key cards instead or running so many Transmute cards?
I understand the concept, you only need 1 copy of March of the Machines because you have search engines...but it just seems like the deck would be more reliable running more copies of your key combo cards.

Good luck!
