A fast R/B vampire deck. Deck Challenge Leyline of Anticipation Based on vampires and stealing the opponents creatures to sacrifice them Comments would be appreciated *I've edited the deck to where it is right now for the cards that I have. I have teched the with leylines of anticipation (note that i use this deck with casual play). If leyline of anticipation comes out, there is a dramatic change in game play Imagine, hypothetically (and for the pleasure of unlikely situations), that two baneslayer angels were attacking you. You have leyline out and at least 3 mana open. You respond to the attack with a flash-played act of treason. You take one of the opponent's baneslayer angel and block his baneslayer angel, gain five life, and have both baneslayer angels die. After playing with this build, I'd say that I would do more with my mana on my opponent's turn than I do on mine.

i really like the idea behind it does it play out well??? i think you should take out the pulse tracker and put in Viscera Seer you can take their creatures and then sac them to scry 1 which works out good for you in cause you dont have one of the others out or dont have the many for terminate...

Well I don't have the bloodghasts or all the nighthawks so I'm not able to completely test this one out. Right now I have instead: -4 bloodghasts -4 pulse trackers -3 nighthawks +3 reassembling skeleton +3 pawn of ulamog +1 aristocrat +1 vampire lacerator So the idea is that you blade of bloodchief on arisocrat and you can infinitely boost him with the skeletons while they are replaced by spawn tokens by pawn of ulamog. It's a decent strategy but it's a lot of cards to set for it. The aristocrat easily becomes a 10/10 when it sets up.
Um, you don't have any way to play layline unless its in your opening hand, and you only have 2 of them in your deck. That means you only have about a 23% chance of drawing leyline in your opening hand, as opposed to a 66% chance if you have 4 of them in your deck. I would strongly recommend that if you're not going to have any islands, to at least have four leylines.
bzzt. let's looks like at the situations: 4 leylines 66% of drawing one sure get one in your hand. now what happens when you draw another? dead draw (and pretty likely too) if you don't get one in your starting hand? even more higher chance of a dead draw. 2 leylines ehh 23% not too bad (especially if you mulligan) if you get one GREAT. if not ok, but there's a pretty good chance you won't draw one of them so for the sake of consistency: having 2 is optimal :)
It may not be a bad idea to add a few islands or atleast 4xdrowned cat so its U/B mana u can still cast leyline if its not in opening hand and also let's you sideboard or even main cool stuff like mana leek...
