turn1: memnite, memnite, mox opal, glint hawk, bounce mox opal, mox opal, land, adventuring gear, equip to glint hawk. turn2: fetchland, swing + galvanic blast = 12 damage turn3: fetchland, wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ^^yeah that's rare but i think you should try glint hawk :)

ah yes i suppose royal assassin fits the control theme well then mhmm i see you haven't played too many aggro decks that use vengevines and baloths. Because look at what you could get out of the miasma: 1) Play it on turn 2: they discard...one card from there hand. and it's not a land. ok so miasma is gone OR 2) Play it on turn 2: they discard a vengevine, and they're deck is BUILT around aggro so fast creatures that combo for two spells to bring back vengevines is nothing difficult. the point of vengevines in a deck is to get it INTO the graveyard. especially if they've fetched one with fauna shaman OR they play a baloth and you get totally screwed. so the benefit...not that great (why mind sludge and mind rot was never viable because of the CMC, and why even blightning got boarded out because fauna shaman, baloth, and vengevine came into the picture) and the consequences? very bad. so i'd rather put in something that actually DOES something all the time consistently. not just in certain situations that don't even benefit that greatly (like sure when it works, will it really help win you the game? very rarely)
ew solemn offering... depends on what you're playing i guess but it's not a good card either way but eldrazi monument may be good since you have myrsmiths to generate some tokens and maybe combo it with myr propagator? also indominatable angel is also a viable choice i suppose. definitely i think semblence anvil will fit because then it makes all your myrs cost a lot less or nothing. might wanna try kuldotha forgemaster. seems like it would combo with myr battlesphere pretty well because sacrificing three myr for +1 myr + the battlesphere isn't bad but yeah lookin' good. maybe condemns or journey to nowhere's for the solemn offerings?
nice stuff whiteandbluetheykillyou, those lands come in untapped, which is why evolving wilds and t-expanse are not viable (especially in a single colored deck) he is also able to offset the life loss with the nighthawk. anyways, couple things with the deck: -i like the gatekeeper, i think i should run them because i really want persecutor to be in the deck and that's a way to get rid of him -royal assassin is an iffy card, ya know? hasn't seen play for awhile, but maybe it could come back. my only probably is that you have to take damage from the attacking creature before you kill it. but who knows it may be better in control. -third is the psychic miasma. in the standard format, without blightning, the format is left with psychic miasma, mind rot, mind sludge for discarding cards. miasma is definitely not a viable card because of the baloths and vengevines that dominate many of the decks. so all-in-all nice stuff
one copy of scalding tarn is more than 10 bucks haha but i guess without em, the deck does come out to below 10 bucks
path to exile, day of judgment > safe passage, silence should cut it so that you come out with 60 cards also should add celestial colennade need someone way to win without your luminarch ascension
why misty rainforest? thinning?
heeheehee anyway: you only have one way of passing on the idol: reassembling skeleton either splash blue for draw cards so you can set up your combo or put in some other way of generating creatures, like: -awakening zone (splash green)
or gravity well
burst lightning over punishing fire
should add in kiln fiend so that your tunnelers are utilized for another creature works well with your lightning bolt and unsummon
three words: wall. of. omens. and you should probably pick a couple spells and stick with them, not go 1 here and there.
bzzt. let's looks like at the situations: 4 leylines 66% of drawing one sure get one in your hand. now what happens when you draw another? dead draw (and pretty likely too) if you don't get one in your starting hand? even more higher chance of a dead draw. 2 leylines ehh 23% not too bad (especially if you mulligan) if you get one GREAT. if not ok, but there's a pretty good chance you won't draw one of them so for the sake of consistency: having 2 is optimal :)
also no fauna shamans -.- but i like the idea. cuz i run leyline of anticipation with no blue sources either xD
almost. i had teched howling mine and realized how bad that was, and i kinda like jace's ingenuity so i'm trying that out
and how did it work out for ya
liliana vess?
sarkhan the mad is just too freaking cool
oh yeah definitely raid bombardment, that was one of the win conditions of this deck (and certainly the more budget fulfilling). However, as I come to accumulate more cards, eldrazi monument, coat of arms, and beastmaster ascension just are too game-breaking to not play and they don't work well with raid bombardment.
Well I don't have the bloodghasts or all the nighthawks so I'm not able to completely test this one out. Right now I have instead: -4 bloodghasts -4 pulse trackers -3 nighthawks +3 reassembling skeleton +3 pawn of ulamog +1 aristocrat +1 vampire lacerator So the idea is that you blade of bloodchief on arisocrat and you can infinitely boost him with the skeletons while they are replaced by spawn tokens by pawn of ulamog. It's a decent strategy but it's a lot of cards to set for it. The aristocrat easily becomes a 10/10 when it sets up.
