Im trying to abuse devotion by using modern ceatures with double mana cost colors. There is some extra synnergy between Legions Initiative and Purphoros. Sinse the deck is modern, I am sure there are better instants I can use to protect myself.
Play it like a boros aggro deck. Keep your creatures alive as best you can, then go for the killing blow when your gods are on the table.
