U/R, without twin? Madness.

I don't get it, what part of this is madness? I play a RUG list that plays Progenitus and Joe plays a parallel list without, both are good(I think with the current meta his is stronger because of a playset of Grim Lavanmancer's, and access to Basilisk Collar). Is the Deceiver trick THAT powerful in standard? Pestermite wasn't that powerful in extended, but perhaps that was just because normal faeries and five-colour control shut it out... My experience with standard ended when I saw that people still haven't just made something SPECIFICALLY for killing cawblade...

Yes, it is really that powerful. 2 card that win you the game... In standard? That's HUGE. In extended it'd be different, because you have a lot more to work with, and a lot more answers. But where standard is so limited... you're screwed. :/ hence the counter magic and dismembers, :3
Ah, I can follow. I just assumed it was same strength as in extended, like the Blood Crank combo.
the blood crank combo is shit, haha. Because it takes a while to get online. But with the twin, you can lose by turn 4... consistently. And need only 2 cards to do so... Where as bloodcrank requires 2, and then burn. Also, where you can tap down a land with the exarch, you can eliminate their mana. It's just cheap, hahaha.
I know, they did the same thing in extended with Pestermite. Worked best in RUG we all seemed to agree, but had a TERRIBLE game against fae tempo and five colour control :/ I also agree that blood crank is shit, but I was trying to be gentle to it.
