Deck discussion for [Modern] 'Budget' Aggro Loam

I like the deck! You don't need a 'goyf to win :P but anyways, I think a good combination with loam and burning vengeance would be creeping renaissance: it allows you to bring back all permanents of the same type back to your hand and it has flashback. So it'd be like adding copies 4-7 (if you wanted) of life from the loam and as a little bonus, it would help activate the burning vengeance. Another suggestion, if you're willing to mess with/tinker with the land base you've built, would be to add Knight of the Reliquary: I know it would wreck your mana base but essentially provides another huge beater that 1) can beef itself and countryside crusher up and 2) our mana base by dumping land to find the land you need. Otherwise, I love the card choices and deck-building decisions you've made here, definitely like it overall!

If you could please give me some pointers/thoughts on my Seismic Nauseam deck, that'd be awesome. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=312714

First of all, you only need 1 Life from the Loam. Adding expensive spells that do too much isn't always good.

Ethan! Burning Vengeance + Retrace! OMG!!

@dag THATS WHAT I WAS THINKING! who knows, it'd might be too janky, but omggggg sooooo goooood.

this deck.. is extremely hard to play. holy god, I need to grind out so matches with this one.
Also, I feel as though the numbers need to be changed, but i'm not sure how. Countryside crusher is kind of lame... :(
we'll see.

If I were you I'd go with a 3/3 split for Countryside and BVengeance. Adding a free Shock to your deck's main engine is beyond powerful. And Countryside is very good for these decks, but I don't think good enough to warrant a full playset. It's a constant beater that also lets you pick and choose your land tech through its ability and Loam...quite useful really =P

Personally I don't run Countryside, I prefer Knight of the Reliquary. I dunno about in Modern, but in Legacy it grows faster by soooo much. Granted, I have; Burning Wish, GSZ, Punishing Fire/Grove of the Burnwillows, ect.

Knight is amazing too, and might be the better choice...I dunno. In Modern, without all the tech you mentioned, I think the "jagged" more forward style of Countryside is what you need to make up for the difference. KotR is always a solid stand-by though =/

burning vengeance, so far, isn't nearly as nice as I thought it'd be :(

Interesting list, but I find myself wishing you had Mox Diamond as an accelerant :| These decks are incredibly fun in Legacy, and I can only assume they might be one of the few bastions of fun left in Modern.

Not sure if Burning Vengeance is overkill or underkill since you're not able to run Punishing Fire.

Haakon Nameless Inversion engine would be good if you ran 3-4 Burning Vengeance...

Wow, I haven't heard about that since the Nightmare Effect deck was big @_@ That's shockingly brutal!
Oh how I shall tinker!

good deck i mean seriously awesome deck thou i have played soo many varients of it (all of which had dark confidant and tarmo) ive beaten it many times which i can't say was easy but either way its a good deck. its made me hate tarmo and dark confidant but basically this deck doesn't necissarily need tarmo but it does help a lot, if not another seismic assault won't hurt the main problem that i've seen with this deck is it needs removal other than that its extremely good check out my Cranial Killing Deck http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=311148
this is the deck i've used thats won against the varients of this deck and hasn't lost a round to it.
