I examined several Saproling decks and tried to create my own. I really enjoy this deck, however, it's just way too slow. I play 2vs2 teams mostly and I noticed someone with a similiar saproling deck stated he wipes everyone after turn 5+ .. However, I don't think he plays with competitive opponents who uses swords, sac creatures, destroy creature, counters, bolts, etc. very much. It's extremely hard to keep anything in play, especially the first few turns with these boys I play with. They're like a bunch of piranha's waiting for those first few creatures to hit the board. Now, I had way too many cards in this deck, I have taken 10 out (the ones in the sideboard was taken out). I am still trying it out to see if I can make it a bit faster. The point of this deck is to produce massive amounts of saprolings. Just about all creatures produce spore counters, then sac those to produce 1/1 saprolings. I have doubling season, paradox haze and copy enchantment to help produce them faster. Essence Warden is in there just to try to gain the lost life in the begining (she usually don't live very long). Coat of Arms is there to help beef up the saprolings and life and limb for the 1/1 forest. Eldrazi Monument is there to help defend against board wipe. Garruk Wildspeaker is there to help get things out faster and of course, overrun! Time Walk and Ancestral Recall is to help speed it up a bit. We play Vintage (T1) only.
