Deck Description

Read the comments for a great Fan Made Poem by thGR8D35tr0Y3r.

Just a Standard Innistrad's Werewolves in action. Thought I'd give it a try. Let me know what you think.

Thanks for your support!

Edit: This was made before additional Innistrad Block expansions came out, and I prefer to keep it that way even if there are better options for wolves available now.

Deck discussion for Inn of the Wolf's Moon

Why are you running lightning bolt? It would be standard legal if you switch it to incinerate, shock, or even brimstone volley.... just sayin

i shall write a macabre poem about the name alone and get back to you.
THE DECK OF ITSELF is fierce and its facebeat capacity is impressive.

Well thank you kind poet. I actually didn't think the name was that creative, I just took Innistrad and the deck theme and combined them.

Minha dica: Remova quatro Daybreak Ranger. Remova 4 montanhas e 4 florestas e utiize dual lands.
Seu deck é Aggro. Você tem que proteger suas criaturas. Utilize Ranger's Guile no MainBoard e Autumn's Veil no SideBoard.
Para controlar no inicio utilize shock, incinerate. Slagstorm no SideBoard contra baralhos aggro mais rápidos.
Contra baralhos vermelhos, pretos e principalmente contra planeswalkers utilize Witchbane Orb. Liliana of the veil, Sorin Markov, Chandra e outros planeswalkers onde suas abilidades se baseiam em alvos perderão 50% á 70% da sua força.

Wish I knew prortuguese. My Spanish and Italian are so-so so I can understand what you're saying for the most part. Thanks for the ideas. For the lands I like to keep things simple, but you're right. In a competitive style I would need more duel lands. I didn't add a sideboard as well since I wanted to keep it basic and open for ideas and I also like to stay away from planeswalkers in a mainboard (personal preference) since I consider them more or less OP. I always ask if PW's are ok before I play someone, so I keep them (if any) in my SB. I do like the idea of adding witchbane Orb though, I'll try that out. Good advice.

Freeverse, zero meter. Hope you like it.

Within the lust of blood,
beyond the sky and night,
BEFORE the dawn triumphs o'er
the horrible curse - must pass the hunger.

Skin of lightning, eyes aflame.
every cell begging for its sadistic fill.
the last of the man begs for mercy from himself.
the beast replies in wicked wolfen laughter.

The man and beast are one.
as conspirators, as prisoners.
where power meets agony,
where life meets death,
where mans meets beast,
rests the Inn of the Wolf's Moon.

Nice clean deck. Doesn't have sideboard so don't really have a feel how it would do in tourney. But
you labeled this deck as experimental and as a experimental/casual deck it's fine. it really cool that
wrote a poem for you. This deck needs more likes so the poem will be seen by more people.

I recently tried my Werewolf deck at a local tourney and got trounced. Would appreciate your opinion on my deck.

Put in a sideboard. Not in any way finished. Advice for sideboard would be welcome as well. I just went with standard legal cards that seemed to make up for the weaknesses of this deck so far. Appreciate the thought put into the comments so far guys, thanks a lot.

You should consider using naturalize maybe even in the mainboard as Oblivion ring, Angelic Destiny, Swiftfoot Boots, Swords of Various sorts, and curses are being played alot..

I like Whipflare over Rolling Tremblor it costs less and tends to damage more creatures.

You might find Arc Trail being of more utility than you would of thought with so many token generators being used.

Adding 4 R/G Dual land would help push the deck to a new level of power.

I agree about the duel lands. Guess I'll kick myself into sticking them in. I like arc trail as well, to me it's always a question over surprise factor of an instant (which this deck lacks) and sorceries. I think I will keep incinerate just to help me control the "spells cast" margin each turn. I'll look into whipflare over Rolling Temblor. Thanks for the advice.

If it can follow the mana curve w/o being controlled (countered), this deck rocks. Went 2-2 with the exact same build at FNM. However, it can't keep up w/ control when you don't hit the mana curve.

+1. I like the idea.

I also built a deck wolves. Dude, the faster you turn your wolves, the faster you hit the opponent. According to my analysis Innistrad / DarkAscension, a perfect addition to this deck would be Immerwolf. I remove the instigators and Daybreaks. I would use 4xReckless Waif, 4xGatstaf Shepherd, 4xImmerwolf, 4xkruin outlaw 4xMayor. It would make the deck more defensive with "Apostle's Blessing." Use "Beast Whitin" if a problem arises that is not easy to solve.
The advantage of this deck is the ability to divide benefits. If you stay in the game a Mayor and a Immerwolf, each turn you generate a token wolf 4/4. And if you can play a kruin, your opponent will be in a very complicated situation. Abuse of Moonmist. Use "full moon rise" when necessary to maintain the maximum time your creatures in play.

Well built! Your deck is fast, so U can easily cast what U wish in the 1st 4 turns & than transform... but there is Moonmist anyway :) ... Here is my version of the wolf: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=337363
