I find that Jace's Archivist is a little bit slow for a mill deck especially vs arggo decks. But if you were going to run Jace's Archivist, I wouldn't run more than 2 or 3 tops. I think you need more mill cards. Dream Twist is also nice because it allows you to mill and flash back. I been toying around with my mill deck for the past three months now and this is what I came out with: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=315990 So far I find this to be a very good balance vs most decks. It is still not perfect but I'm still toying around with it. Tell me what you think. Also I purposely ran no creatures to have fun with a no creature theme mill deck.

btw thats what fire servent is for
yea so I finally took the deck for a test drive, it works really well, I went 3-0 with this deck. Jace combine with the vapor snags and counterspells controls while my other cards mills them to death.
Best Planeswalker Hands down is Jace 2.0 ^_^
Lightning bolt is hands down the best burn card
Its all good dude, its not like i'm saving any money because I already spent it, this deck is done I just need to test it out. But you got it mixed up again ponder lets you shuffle, brainstorm lets you put it on the bottom of your deck. But the true terror of this deck isn't brainstorm, its a combo of hinder/tunnel vision or Jace, the mind Scuptor with tunnel vision. Heres how the combo works, I counter a spell using hinder and put it on the bottom of my opponent's library, then I cast tunnel vision and name that card. My opponent mills until he finds that card.
Not to be mean or anything but you have no understand of how this deck works. -Jace 2.0 isn't for milling its to draw out cards and control. I have enough milling cards, I need control to take place of my zero creature deck. -Increasing confusion is too expensive, I'm running brain freeze, which means I want tons of 1, 2 mana drops so storm ability will kick into effect. -Lastly hinder works as a combo with tunnel vision, I already stated it, it puts that card on the bottom of the library so I can tunnel vision their whole deck.
I also thought about splashing blue into my deck for some control but I been too lazy. Plus I don't like playing this deck a lot because the games normally end too quickly and people get pissed off.
Interesting concept, but why would you need to run red? And I don't really think you need more than 2 copies of Iona, shes a legendary plus with in a reanimate deck you rather not draw any of your reanimate cards, and I think quicksilver amulet is nice because it allows you to summon things from your hand and plus if someone play's grafdigger's cage you won't be screwed.
I stated the reason why I run emrakul, it is so I don't get mill to death by Jin-Gitaxias, because I normally get Jin-Gitaxias out by the first or second turn, and drawing 7 extra cards each turn, you can mill yourself to death pretty fast. The last time I played with this deck in a free for all with 5 people. I manage to take everyone out. I went first and got out got Jin-Gitaxias out first turn, second turn I got Iona out and choose black disabling all the doom blades/go for throat. Then I slowly picked everyone off with iona and Jin-Giatxias, and finished eveyrone else off with emrakul by the fifth turn. The reason I don't run a sideboard is that I mostly play causal home games.
