Deck Description

See the How to play, that pretty my main idea on this deck, still cheap but fast and deadly.

If you guys can give me advices it would be appreciated! Thanks

How to Play

Based on Rakdos, Lord of Riots you can bring out fast Balefire Dragon since your haste and dmg output can be out rly fast. Increasing vengeance and Chandra can boost hard time your sorceries dmg output and bring your opponent down rly fast.

I added Charmbreaker Devils in my SB because it syncs well with Instant/Sorceries/Rakdos

Cursed of the Stalked Prey is to prevent things like Curse of Death’s Hold. It is the best red card I found for that purpose. If you guys have other ideas, they would be welcome!

Haste, big damage, fast creatures.

Deck discussion for RB Rakdos STD, advices welcome

FYI, Rakdos Lord of Riots wont make Akroma's memorial come out any faster. His ability only works on creatures. Otherwise looks fun, Fervor rather than the Ring of Valkas might be something worth looking at. Reckless Waif instead of Stromkirk Noble. You have a big gap at 3 mana, Kruin Outlaw might be good here.

Hey Ty for your comment, didnt realized about akroma, so I changed for 2 fervors, and changed a bit my sideboard, I think it does better this way right nowm what do you think ?

Looks better to me. You might want to run some burn (Searing Spear, Geistflame, etc) so that you can set up Rakdos's ability in the event you cant push damage through with a creature. Mizzium Mortars would work too. Maybe (stress maybe) SB Dreadbore for the burn, maybe 2 Increasing Vengeance instead of 4. Not sold on taking out Dreadbore, just a thought. Also, Chandra, the Firebrand might be a good fit here. Can ping creatures/players, copy spells, and her ultimate is really nasty if it goes off. I'd replace Dual Casting for her as her -2 is basically a reusable Dual Casting. (She's cheap $$ wise too, mid price is $4 on TCG).

Thanks again, I changed some things, added a BR creature with a high Colorless cost but can sync well with Rakdos, took off 2 Increasing vengeance to put 2 searing spear. Finally I removed Dreadbore to put Chandra. I think this way, enough creature will be able to be on the table and nasty burn with Chandra duplicating, like Increasing vengeance.

I'd say it's definitely better. Glad I could help. I might still suggest a different 1-drop other than Stromkirk Noble since unless you face a lot of Human decks he's not that useful without a way to make him constantly connect with the enemy player. There are a few good red 1-drops to pick from, Reckless Waif is one. Others are Stonewright, Bellows Lizard, Forge Devil, Goblin Arsonist, Slumbering Dragon, Somberwald Vigilante, and Vexing Devil. I would strongly suggest Vexing Devil if you dont mind paying $6-7 each. After that I would say Reckless Waif, Somberwald Vigilante, then Goblin Arsonist. The others arent really worth considering here IMO.

Hey, thanks again, I already have those vexing devil so i might be looking for 2xStonewright and 2xSlumbering Dragon to replace those Stromkirk Noble. Reckless Waif are on my sideboard for now so I think this deck would prolly be good to compete

use Anger, old card but works as easy as the rings, if he dies all ur creatues have haste. also use some ash zealot instead of the lightning maulers.

Drop Fervor, you don't need it with 4 Lightning Maulers.
Drop Hellsteed, there are a lot better cards out there. Even if you want to stay on the cheap side I'd say Chaos Imps are better.
Drop 3 Devil's Play (you have 2 Rakdos Return)
Lobber Crew is a pretty nice creature for this sort of deck as you have good defence with it and it can ensure you get to play Rakdos.
Add 2 more Searing Spear and 4 Pillars for early creature removal.
Switch Reckles Waif for Nobles instead.

You might want to concider some form of card draw, maybe a couple of Blood Gift Demons?

You do not need to fear Curse of Death's hold with this deck, so no need to side board against it.
Dreadbore, Slaughter games, Appetite for Brains and Duress are nice Sideboard as well as Rakdos Charm.

Keep up the good work :)

Venerable (509) Jestrix thanks for your comment, I took your advices! Ive tried my deck against a modern black deck and truly hellsteed was pushing me back. Lobber Crew will surely help me defend and like you said will help me get this Lord of Riots out faster. I changed my SB so I think i will be able to respond a bit better.

Your comment is rly appreciated.

You describe your deck as being fast and creature based. That seems to be at odds with your Chandra and Increasing Vengeance spell copying. You should center your deck on either creatures or spells.

It depends a lot against what type of deck your playing imho, right now the deck have 40% creature, 40% mana, 20% sorc. you can change that with the SB im using to boost your spells or creatures. If the game become longer you still have a response with increasing vengeance and chandra. For now i find it useful to put in 4 pillar of flame, and reducing the big creatures so that way you get rid of early creature and let you build a more all around good red/black deck
