The Vedalken Mastermind allows me to bounce stasis back to my hand as well as any other card that might be in danger of being removed. It also counts towards the quest which is also a good thing in this deck, I used to have a nasty Stasis deck that my play group made me disband because nobody wanted to play vs. Forsaken city was going to be my choice until I came across the mastermind which suits this decks play style better. I always enjoy looking at other ideas for decks so I will take you up on your offer. Thinks for the info.
good call I will be putting both of these in this deck thanks.
Please let me know your thoughts.
I was thinking about that too but Im not sure what to take out to add them in. do you have any suggestions as to what to pull out to add in the tides?
yeah I hate it because I had four in my stasis deck when the word came down lol thats where this one came from lol.
lol i would love to put 4 in but my play group sticks to the vintage rules
All comments welcome!
I love brainstorm sadly tho it is restrected in vintage :-(
Intresting... I could add him in and take out the Flickering Ward and add 4 of each artifact lands for swamp and plains. this would also all me to take out the land tax because then they would be almost useless giving me more room for infect creatures. I like it thanks for the tip.
I also took your advise and added the tutors, a bit costly but well worth it.
I hear what your saying about mono colored decks, however the group I play with tends to get Iona, Shield of Emeria very quickly (T2 is the earlyest I've been hit with it) so I need to be versital and mono will just be the end of me before I even get started.
I never even looked into those lands before (only been playing for about a year) thats a great land card for this deck. Do you think I even need the land tax with Marsh Flats in there?
I like your idea of placing Artifact Creatures in there with infect. I removed two mages (not really needed) and added the artifact creatures, thanks for the tip. I completely forgot to even look at artifact creatures when I was picking creatures.
Any and all comments are welcome
I am always a big fan of the flickering ward + concerted efforts combo. It can open up some slots in your deck taking the need for color protection out almost all together.
This deck looks pretty good I just constructed a deck that is almost the same as yours but focusing less on FIre Servant. Great card but costly, so I kept her/him in my sideboard. Here is a link to my burn if your intrested. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=162281
Another thing is the Priest of Titania, great two drop for sure but I found you get a better bang for your buck when you use Elvish Archdruid. Both the Priest and the Archdruid can easly be played turn 2 but the Archdruid also gives a little boost to all of your other elfs for just one more mana.
Nice deck I completely forgot about Alpha Status. The only creature I might replace would be Heedless One for Drove of Elves. Drove of Elves has defense from spells from other players which still allows for Magistrate's ability to trigger as well as being beefed up by green perms rather than just elfs. Here is a link to my elf if your intrested. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=162236
Yeah I was having problems with not having cards in my hand early on in a match. A burn deck with no cards is like a boat without water :-)
