Deck Description

My old counterspell deck. It didn\\\'t lose a game at all even in multiplayer for some reason. I only played around 15 games with it though (I make a new deck every week).

Deck discussion for Counter deck

Cryptic Command would be a good addition, plus 2 Extraplanar lenses, but I have a question, How are you supposed to win, witht the faeries? I wouldn't be so confident on this creature only for winning. And don't tell me that u have so many counterspells that your opponent wont play a spell. I have a wizard-counter deck and there are times that I dont have a counterspell to counter something lethal. And what if Akroma, Angel of Fury lands in? Or Obliterate? Try Time Stop in Sideboard.

Cloud of Faries is an ok card to rely on for steady land control, but you may run into trouble as the previous statement notes. I would try playing Psionic Blast with this, in addition to the Faries armed with Swords. And Daze may not do it unless it's first or second turn countering. I think Force of Will is absolutely necessary instead of Daze. Those are the only recomendations I have. Brainstorm is great. I'd like to play this deck with my Static Repititious Annoyance deck.

Well if you knew how to read, I said this was my "old" counterspell deck. You know when Akroma, Angel of Fury and Cryptic Command didn't exist. Counterbalance was the newest edition I tried once in it before I took it apart. When you play counterspells, if you were smart enough you know that you only need to counter spells that hurt you only or your win condition.

Realy? And what if you play against a red damage spell deck that uses lots of shocks, fireballs etc etc? I usualy lose to these decks cuz they are faster than me. And dont get mad cuz you posted an old deck (we dont know how old is it anyway) and we added some new comments. Anyway the link to my deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/viewdeck.php?did=7426 if you want to get ideas for your new counterspell deck.

Well one thing about burn decks (and yes I have played against them in legacy tournaments) is they do not have card advantage. Since you draw more cards then they do it is easy to beat them. I have seen browbeats played in a burn deck before and I usually take the five so they cannot draw or counter them, so they don't get card advantage. You also gotta wait until their initial hand is gone and they lose momentum before you play faeries, so they cannot play multiple burn and you can't counter al
