Deck Description

This deck was inspired when I read an article about Tibalt the Fiend Blooded. In that article I saw one person say how he would be useful in a Flashback deck. I would have also liked to add more unearth cards but this is a more spell focused deck. If you have any suggestions please say something in the comments.

How to Play

Use Tibalt's plus one again and again if you want, most of your cards have ability's for you to get back from the graveyard. Drop Malfegor while building up a hand specifically for you to deal enough damage to kill the other player. For an extra burst of pain put a blightning and burn at the stake in. If you want more creature control throw a Nicol Bolas in for another burst of power

Deck discussion for Tibalt's Flashback

I would take out the beguiler of wills because you only have eight creatures in this deck so her ability really isn't very useful. Also I would take out some of the artful dodge because you have very few creatures and you will probably want them to block. Also all the cards in this deck that give you a significant advantage are very very expensive mana-wise, and all the other cards have very low mana costs and also very limited effects. I would add some mid-range mana-cost cards to this deck so that it stays strong mid-game (or even alive) so that you can finish with malfegor. The idea of this deck is strong but it needs to be tinkered with so that it works at all points in the game.

Thanks for the feedback! I didn't realize it had that many problems but I did build it in like half an hour so I guess that's the price.

This seems like a fun deck. Tibalt would be really cool with more unearth/flashback cards. I would see if you can pick up some Think Twice or Fatestitchers for more blue draw and shenanigans! +1 from me!

Tibalt is BAD! I'm sorry to break this to you but it's the truth. Your strategy of building a specific hand hand will never work since the discard is random. As well what do you plan on targeting with Cackling Counterpart? Seems like a dead card all the time.

I know Tibalt is bad this is nothing new to me, but this deck is focused on making him a little bit better and as for the Cackling Counterpart I just thought that it would add a couple of creatures for blockers

Well in that case Dread Return may be fun since your not going for modern legal. You could put that discarded Malfegor right Into play. You could also -1 Malfegor and -1 Blightning. That would give room to add Seize the Day as a 2 of. Casting that once or Twice in single turn will win games if your able to ever resolve Malfegor.

Ya I just noticed your only running blue for Cackling Counterpart. Cut blue altogether and make your land base more consistent. Paying 3 mana to get a 2/1 or 2/2 zombie is not worth the double blue. Dread Return will hit way more.

No problem, I'm still against Cackling Counterpart tho. there is never a situation where your gonna want to copy Malfegor so at best your only gonna get a 2/1 zombie for 3. that is just bad. If your trying to just get a creature then Reap the Seagraf or Moan of the Unhallowed would be better picks. Or if it's the instant aspect of the card you like, why don't you just play a better creature with flash like Sulfur Elemental? I'd suggest Vendilion Clique or Snapcaster Mage, but I'm assuming this isn't a deck you wanna invest that kind of money into.

Probably although I like it now the way it is. But if I find a card to my liking I probably will replace an inefficient one with it's better
