This is an attempt at actually turning infect into a potential FNM winning deck. Any great suggestions? Thanks.

I suggest putting in Overwhelming Stampede for a finisher or Contagion Engine for another means of generating poison counters. I like the Birds and the Giant Growths, I think these really make the infect deck a threat.

Good deck, but my opinion is it's going in to many directions, I'd first off suggest taking out the control element. Proliferate is not viable in any tournaments that I have seen, so I wouldn't suggest adding the engines. Birds doesn't last through the game, so I'd save some money on a play set and just go with Joraga, however they both work about equally well short term. I love the use of distortion strike though. Splashing blue has not seemed to work well for me, but this deck makes good use of it. I don't know if Cystbearer is the greatest infect creature choice, so you may want to look at some different ones. Other than that pretty good deck. Now lets see what criticism you can give to mine haha.
Well, I already managed to aquire the birds and I'm not sure how Joraga would really help any more. I like the birds because I can then drop the turn two cystbearer (I personally believe it to be the best of the 3 mana infect creatures) and follow the next turn with pump spells for the win (yes, turn 3). The birds also help with the color issues of a 3 color deck. The deck can run out of steam and cards quickly and gets rocked by burn, so the control is a precaution against that. Against slower decks it's easily sided out. Contagion clasp is the only proliferate which is cheap and can be very effective if they even just get a couple poison counters and can stop my creatures. I agree that engines wouldn't be too great, though. They're slow besides. As for the costs of cards, the birds are really quite cheap usually (a playset can cost lest than $15 which is cheaper than the land..). If not Cystbearer though, what would you suggest?
stick with Cystbearer. it fits your mana curve well and as a 2/3 can stick around for a couple turns or at least eat a lightning bolt. i run U/B infect and i'd kill for a black version of Cystbearer (Contagious Nim at 2/2 is close but not quite sexy enough to make the cut over Ichor Rats).
i like the changes you've made, it seems much more feasible. check out Nature's Claim over Naturalize for SB since your opponents health count is usually of little consequence.
