How to Play

Here is a fun monowhite deck to play! Combat control!

This is a deck for those who are really good at conducting combat phases, or those who really want to get better. The Combat phase is a fundamental element of magic, and surprisingly tricky to master. Sure when they are all tapped out swinging is a no brainer, but what if you happen to be swinging into a wall of beaters? Or death effects?

Right, The Cards!

Angelic Skirmisher: This card is my AVATAR! There has to be a reason now hasn't there. Six cost, but the options are endless! Each combat, you can choose to give all your creatures lifelink, vigilance, or first strike! Need to block a horde of beaters which you can't possibly survive? Lifelink to save you! Not to interested in trading deaths with enemies? First Strike to deal the damage first! Feel like you need to swing all out! Vigilance to save blockers!

Avacyn, Angel of Hope: Come for the indestructible, stay for the 8/8 flying vigilance!

Fiend Hunter: Because getting rid of something (some times even your own stuff!) is never too bad. Exile your thraben sentry, when your fiend hunter dies, it will come back transformed!

Guardian of the Gateless: I see your token spam. Let me just grab Skirmisher for some life link.

Odric, Master Tactician: So many strategies behind this card. Your blood artist is going to block my apocalypse hydra, just so you know... =D

Thraben Sentry: Things die, but with this on the field, they don't do it in vain.

Blind Obedience: Enter tapped, and extort. Just general control here.

Call to serve: Flying Sentry!

Ethereal Armor: Crazy huge Giant! With FIRST STRIKE!

Safety Sphere: I think each color has a 'creatures can't attack unless' but this one is my favorite. Just a general control enchantment.

Safe Passage: Save you, and your creatures. Oh hey, I'll block all out, kill your stuff, and not worry about my stuff dieing, because they take no damage!

Deck discussion for Art Of War

A deck I have been wanting to share for awhile. It is entirely based around the combat phase. Definitely would help the players that are shy or reserved in combat become efficient. It happens, I have seen plenty of people who have game, lose it because they do not recognize and seize the opportunities.

Not only does this deck help those types of players be more combat orientated, it is a fun deck to play! Well, maybe that's just my bias since I favor white decks. Comments? Suggestions? Think I am full of garbage? Post below!

well, the deck seens to be a bit slow, your lowest cmc creature is 3.
Try adding 4x or at least 3x Avacyn Pilgrim and i don't think you have many creatures to make Odric really effective
also for some reason, i really hate call to serve, try rancor instead
but i like the general ideia

yeah, i agree here - by the time all of this beauty starts to perform, you might already be dead my friend :) especially against the lightning fast gruul and/or naya humans... also, i think 4 blind obedience is too much. for me 2always worked just fine
