Deck discussion for The Assembly Mill

is assemble the legion even necessary in here? its so out of place. i get that you can use champion of stray souls with it, but thats about it. i would say cut it for something more useful, like grey merchant since your mana base is skewed heavily towards black. also in that regard, nykthos is a must since it will help out with paying for champions abilities

I appreciate the advice but its just a casual deck and i love the assemble the legion in it works great in casual games. The grey merchants ive thought about adding but there's nothing id really like to take out in favor of them.

I actually played 4 with a super early build of this, i think maybe since it didnt work out then i kinda gave up on the thought of them. But maybe i was thinking of them wrong at the time and maybe i had too many. After i get board presence it helps but i cant get over what id need to have on the board so i could activate one for it to actually be useful ya know? You think i should try 1 or 2 ?

yeah 1 or 2 really does help. they work best when you have small fries that give you lots of devotion for cheap, but make due with what you got. i run them in my legacy vampires and by turn 4 im tapping for about 12 black devotion easy

I'm afraid the mill doesn't work, if they run out of land in the deck, they can't reveal to a land and therefore can't put those cards into the graveyard!

Yes it works lol ive beaten alot of people milling them out, if they have no more land all remaining cards are put into the graveyard.

Nope, I'm afraid not, judges say that they can't put them into the graveyard until they hit a land. I'm afraid if you've beaten people that way, then you've (obviously accidentally ) misused the card, if you take this to FNM I suggest you get it sorted

This is the ruling on Gatherer. Dx is right. it works.

If the target player has no land cards in his or her library, all cards from that library will be revealed and put into his or her graveyard.
