Deck Description

My take on dreadshift deck that Saffron Olive posted a few days ago. It needs work but I've always liked the valakut idea but just hate the all or nothing nature of the deck. So here's an attempt at making this thing a midrange tri-color. God help me.

How to Play

Ideally you wanna ramp into a 7 or 8 land scapeshift. But an earlier scape shift with the right board state is really good too. Always grab urborg, situationally grab the zombies or valakut for the bigshifting.

I opted for Arboreal grazer rather than sak-elder cause I prefer the chump with reach and that a lot of our lands are nonbasic, and search for tomorrow is how we want to dig for our basics anyways.

Early I would try and load up the board with forests and swamps. The mountains in here are really only for the valakut trigger, but urborg takes care of our swamp triggers. I wouldnt keep a hand with less than 3 land in it since our primary dig doesn't happen until turns 3-5.

The name of the game is to slow our opponent down with disruption and a robust board state, and prime ourselves to drop a big combo bomb or fat creatures. Since this deck offers a lot more draw than normal scapeshift, i feel comfortable with 1 and 2 ofs, especially with primal command mainboard.
