This mono black deck has three recurring themes: Vampires, Life Drain and Death. The idea of the deck is to kill the opponents' creatures and even sac your own while gaining additional benefits like life draining your opponent or making your creature equipped with Blade of the Bloodchief become increasingly bigger. Then either run over the opponent after his\her creatures are out of the way, Soul Harvest him/her, or both. The sideboard on the other hand includes a heavy set of discard spells. Enjoy!

I think you missing quite a few tricks by not using red in a vampire deck. You miss a lot of strong vampire buffers. If you are set on mono black vampire nighthawk would be a great addition addition and id have to agree with the guy who already commented... bloodline keeper. They blow child of night away. Id put in a few more captivating vampire for the buffing and I think you would benefit from adding blood artist (annother of my favourites) in your main rather than side board. My other comments are related to a mono black deck which ill post after I look up the card I mean
Corrupt is the big one im thinking of for mono black they are a few others that depend on swamps in play and vampire noctous (or something like that he's called) an expensive card to buy but can make all your creatures fly and give them I think its a +3+3 if the next card is black which it likely will be :p
Yeah, I get what you mean, and I'm familiar with all those cards; however, I don't strive to pump all my Vampires with lords or have many of them out on the board, I rely on removals, Bloodthrone Vampire saccing, Blade of the Bloodchief and Essence Harverst. The Captivating, I already had him anyway and could not find anyway to sell it to (foil too), so I put him in as a more of an alt-con. Someone I know has a black vampire deck with lots of powerful cards (some you mentionend already), "sacrifice a creature" effects for the opponent, Damnation, Mutilate, etc.; I still kicked his ass with those weak-ass vampires of mine, pun intended. Maybe I will upgrade and change the deck in the future, after I play with it some more; so far though it has worked wonders with even less than all cards listed here :P And seriously, the Blood Artists are still sideboard because I haven't found any real copies yet :D
Actually, Vampire Nocturnus gives +2/+1, not +3/+3, that would be crazy strong, lol :) (Though the new sliver lord in M14 does that I believe... talk about crazy strong) Also, I do have Corrupt in the deck - and even Quag Sickness as well! In fact, I have found the latter to be more efficient removal in most cases despite aura type, higher mana cost and the lack of instant speed simply because it goes around indestructible and even if it does not kill, it most certainly slows down any fatties - which is what is intended here, slowly take over control while draining your opponents resources to grow stronger yourself :P Watch the opponent flinch and twist as the swamp you will play on the next turn becomes the final nail in his Baneslayer Angel's coffin ^_^
Well here is mine. Idealy I'd like dreadbore rather than doomblades and I am trying to buy bloodline keepers and will probally use 2 of themhttp://www.mtgvault.com/surexius/decks/vampire-deck/
