Deck Description

For an upcoming in-house tourney with friends. I used this similar deck back when Jace was just released and it won it for me. Hopefully it will again in Legacy. I expect to run against an Elf Deck, a Goblin Deck, a life-gain deck, and some sort of black discard/sacrifice deck.

If i had 1 more Tundra it would be in there and same goes for Hollowed Fountain.

Deck discussion for Legacy Jace

Is it combo elves or aggro elves you expect to fight against?

Aggro Elves possibly with Glistner Elf, but most likely combo elves.
If it's aggro elves i got the maze of iths instead of fetch lands, and 3 wall of denial instead of the wrath's and day of judgement

I would play 4 swords and keep the wraths in against elves ( no matter the type)

Swords is awesome, always has been, but with only 1 creature in my deck, Wrath and DoJ usually does the job better than Swords for me.
Besides, why remove one when you can destroy all?
Granted CMC is 4 to 1, but i have counters and other delaying properties.

the thing about swords vs wrath is exactly what you mention; it stalls them (like counters, but better) until you can wrath and for that reason I (personally) would never play less than four, especially against creature heavy metagames.

I did throw 3 Maze of Ith's in the sideboard to replace the fetchlands for heavy creature decks. That card is overlooked a lot, but I love it.
