Deck discussion for Inifinite Mill Combo Turn 4

What's your solution to people running Legendary Eldrazi? Even if it's 1 in the sideboard, round 2 and 3 of the match they'll have it.

Casual fun, table-top, and general fun was the main point behind this deck. Players walking around with Eldrazi in their sideboard are rare from what I've ever seen, but then again, that's just in my neck of the woods. It could be different for you.
The main reason I tagged this Legacy was because that's all it's legal in. It's for the pretentious ass hats who need to categorize everything and feel better about themselves.

I know this may come as a shocker... and I'm sure it will.
Not everyone is out to place top 8 or win in the next wonderful Wizards of the Coast Tournament. There's a term people go by known as "table-top magic". I'm sure you've played it. You gather around a table with friends and play for fun and social interaction. Now... for yourself, a troll (based on your negative comment), you may not enjoy "table-top" magic, you may not have many friends or none at all, you want to be a "spike" and destroy everyone as soon as possible and make some poor bastard who enjoys playing a game want to stop playing.
This is a viable infinite combo that can win on turn 4. Now, if you are so almighty and know so much about legacy... I invite you to edit this deck and make it "Legacy Worthy" oh great MTG master... if not, leave your negative comments to yourself.

NinjaStyle612, I already stated I was perhaps a bit over zealous to WhiteAndBlue and I am in no way looking to keep an argument going on this deck's thread. I'm glad you help out people with magic. I do the very same. I help people all the time at the local shop when I'm there.
Now, why you did not state the deck was bad, you never implied you thought it was even remotely decent. By stating it's only legal in Legacy you unknowingly implied that the cards I've chosen are not good enough for the format and the good luck at the end of the comment seemed more like a "dumb ass" then a genuine good luck.
Either way it's water under the bridge and it is what it is. I apologize for going a bit too far with it and for what it's worth I am well aware that a turn 4 win deck in legacy is rather shitty, but for most local tournaments it is more than adequate. It's not until you get into the big leagues usually that you have to worry about having your ass handed to you on turn 1 or 2.
Out of curiosity... was it really necessary to give all the comments a negative vote? I get the ones directly or indirectly affiliated with you... but the Braingeyser one.... really?

Ninjastyle, turn 4 isn't 3 turns too late. Dredge takes a few turns. Using Grindstone and Painter's Servant usually takes longer than 2 turns even with mana acceleration. Leyline of the Void and Helm of Obedience take more than a turn to win as well. And even the infamous Flash Protean Hulk deck probably won't have the right cards to win first turn. People can win tournaments without reanimating Emrakul on turn 1. Someday you will lose to one of the thousands of decks that takes more than a turn to win and you will realize that.

you know midrange and control is a thing in legacy right?
tarmagoyf, lilliana, and many other "too slow things" are all the rage right now!
Who woulda thunk it?

Funny I was just watching Grand Prix Strasbourg... which is legacy format... There was a lot of draws due to running out of time and a shit ton of games lasting longer than 3 or 4 turns.

It's neat, and cheap. I like it man! It might not be as fast as Painter's Stone, or have the same compactness of VoidHelm, but unlike them it actually looks fun. Despite some of the more... Excessively hateful designs I've made that's what I most look for in a deck.

Also, while your response to NinjaStyle might be a much, it gave me quite the giggle.

Perhaps I may have been a bit over zealous in my reply to Ninja, but to be fair... that's always the first few comments towards a deck. Something along the lines of "this could beat it". It's never "hey that's a really cool combo idea, i should try that." And while it's true there are cards that can destroy this deck and ruin it for its lack of speed... it works. And who says in a tournament that I'd ever end up playing against those certain match-ups? Oye...

Eh, fair enough. Especially since it seems Sure, Joe, Ethan, maybe Dag and Ded even have left. They had been a real positive force in this community.

Ah, so much abuse to be had from Illusionist's Bracers. This is one of the more interesting combos with it that I've seen. Gotta ask though, why Seat of the Synod?

Aphetto Alchemist equipped with Illusionist's Bracers and Seat of the Synod land on the table.
Step 1a: Activate Alchemist ability to untap Seat of Synod
Step 1b: Bracers creates a copy of Alchemist ability; and you choose a new target; Aphetto Alchemist himself.
Step 2: Repeat Step 1 until you have as much mana as you want.
Who says infinite mana is hard to come by?

chaoslord00 got it right, it's just for easy infinite mana. In fact... a Braingeyser would be really quick way to mill your opponent too if you had infinite mana.

Just tag your deck "Casual" to prevent those useless comments regarding how slow this and that deck is.
Yeah my comment didn't help you either, but oh well :D

Illusionist's Bracers are awesome, I'm currently working on a few decks with them (will decide later if I publish them all here or none at all).

I did now, but when you post casual, the majority of people ignore it entirely... because a lot of people who play casual will use like four Sol Rings or for Demonic Tutor's and no one takes it even remotely serious. And since the majority of magic games are casual... it's kind of a moot point really... meh.

I can agree with drumhead on this one. There should be a differentiation between "casual", where you build broken decks to build broken decks, and "casual fun" where you build a deck that would actually be fun to play and play against.

Nice deck. Unlike Painter's Stone, Dredge, and Void Helm this actually seems like it would be fun to play against.

How is this inifite combo, looks to me like it copies the ability only once, it does not untap Aphetto Alchemist.

using illusionists bracers you get to untap two permanents. one being the alchemist, the other being cathartic adpt. boom

It does not say to untap any creatures, it says copy an ability if it was not a mana ability... which looks to me like it would only mill 2.

NEVERMIND... I see it now.

Sweet deck, digging the endless combo. Much better then the merfolk mill deck I tried to put together. Might go put this deck together and have some fun lol maybe id cut the combo short and leave them with one card left in their deck lol

Thanks, it's mostly for fun and usually only works once. After they see how it works it tends to be blighted out right away.

You also seem to know what your doing with decks, any advice for me on my burn deck? Its just for fun with friends not for tournaments or anything really but i'm competitive and so are my friends so winning would definitely be a bonus.
